Capcom Confirms Stellar Line Up For First Half of 2009

Today Capcom has confirmed that seven of its upcoming titles will be released within the first half of 2009.

Flock! is scheduled for release this February and will be available for the Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC platforms.

On February 20th the revolutionary Street Fighter series makes a very welcome return with Street Fighter IV releases on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems.

Infecting gamers and completing Capcom's list of releases for February is Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop, scheduled for release for the Nintendo Wii and Neopets Puzzle Adventure for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PC, based on the Nickelodeon property Neopets. Both titles will be releasing on the 27th February.

Gamers around the globe have already written Friday 13th March 2009 on their calendars in blood red ink in order to mark the release of Resident Evil 5. Also scheduled for release in March is Moto GP for the Nintendo Wii.

Completing this impressive line up is Bionic Commando, the first true sequel to the retro classic with an injection of next gen power.

U played the demo yet? The graphics are amazing, possibly best so far this gen (only MGS4 and Gears are even comparable) and the gameplay is classic like the other one but being a huge bastard helps when it comes to melees. Hopefully there are a few more, like in res 4 where they changed a bit mid way through but I'll never tire of the huge straight that Chris can launch, looks immense.

4.2 - ehhh the graphics are good, but not Amazing!!!

It's just an updated look to already impressive graphics in it's portfolio, the framwork engine used in DMC4 and Lost planet and Dead rising... Looks better than those games i listed but not by any huge margine and certainly not in the realms of Gears, or even MGS4 which puts gears to shame.

I'll be very surprised if they don't announce a new Resi title for the Wii very soon as well seeing how well the port of RE4 sold AND played(better than the GC/PS2 versions). That'll get announced at E3 I think but they're really putting some good stuff out at the minute. SF2 turbo remix was great and SF4 looks incredible as does Resi5-lookiong forward to both.

Y are you doing that? Just torrent it and burn it to a CD-R, works fine, and it's in English anyways...U can't get in trouble for it, just get d/c from LIVE and play it to ur hearts content. It's immense, I wouldn't be waiting if I were you, it might take ages and it's there right now for the taking!

Keep it up Capcom, My all-time favorite Publisher/Studio. Been playing Capcom games since the 80's.

I know I'll get some negative rep for this but I would like to see how Capcom would port SF IV: according to an interview with the main man it is possible:

1UP: There's been some talk from Capcom -- I can't remember if it was you or someone else who said this -- that if there's enough demand for it, a Wii version of Street Fighter 4 could be possible. So where are you with things now? How would you view a Street Fighter game on the Wii -- would you keep it as "Street Fighter 4" or do some sort of "Street Fighter Kids"?

YO: Yeah, it's definitely true that we've had a lot of requests for a port for the Wii. And it's definitely doable. We just don't have any plans for it yet, that's all. If we feel strongly enough that it would sell, I'd imagine we'd do it. But it definitely would be Street Fighter 4 -- not some dumbed down version.

1UP: So is there really any question within Capcom that a Wii version would sell?

YO: Going back to my philosophy for Street Fighter, the game is essentially a tool, not just a unique piece of entertainment. I think of it like chess -- that game can be played anywhere. As long as people want to play Street Fighter 4, it could be on anything -- even this iPhone, for that matter [Points to the iPhone on the table]. It really could be on any platform that could support it. So let's just see what happens.

12 - RE5 and BC for me

I dont know if any of them will be a first day buy thou. Last year i bought to many games that i didnt get time to play them through and enjoy them. Im planing on getting L4D so i have something to play until feb 25, then there will be Killzone2 for 2 months. After that ill think i pick up RE5.

I want to get Resi Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV on launch, but theres this game called Killzone 2 being released right in the middle of them, and thats going to take up all my time for a couple of months, so its not worth getting them til much later.
