There is now a date for the Killzone 2 GameStop demo–January 5th.

"A rave card granting access to the Killzone 2 Demo will be available in stores while supplies last beginning the week of January 5. Check with your local store for more information."

Can't wait to play the demo, I already played the MP beta for days nonstop, from what I played I can guarantee you that this game will knock your socks off. No doubt this will be a blockbuster hit.

Edit: Found this on the ps3 fourms,Don't know if this is true but "On the back of the demo papers it said they are active effective after the Feb 5th" Meaning you can't download it untill the feb 5th. Take this with a grain of salt because it could be false, people like to start rumors

you wouldnt believe the problem i have here in EBGAMES in canada. I walked in one time when R2 was released and asked for a copy, "Hi could i get a copy of Resistance 2?" the guy started to look around and came back to be and said, "I cant find the 360 version, I'm really sorry." I was like WTF!! I told him that it was a ps3 exclusive and walked out of the store.

as much as I love killzone, im passing up on the demo part just because I dont want it to ruin the hype for myself on the final product. If you got this far on the previews you can survive another month for the actual thing. I was in the beta, I enjoyed it as a teaser but barely played just so it doesnt become a overkill when it comes out.

Were there any pieces of music or sound design that you had to leave out?
Mario Lavin: In fact we used everything. The length of the game is around 11 hours. So for the pieces of work that didn’t fit in certain areas, they were put on the back burner and used at a later date. For instance, a nonessential character’s theme had been scored, but gave too much importance to that person. The piece didn’t fit, but was suitable for a dramatic scene further on in the story with the captain’s airship transport. It had been written by Joris six months prior, and was just one example where we recycled previously conceived bar sections.

the lenght of the game is 11 hours so how many points will they cut from the review?? i think its erfect for FPS.

That article makes no sense. Why would online orders have to wait a month? Gamestop can just email you the code, even if you ordered the game in the store. I think this guy is confused.

When I first heard about the demo and the card for pre-ordering in store, I called them. I knew these f$%^ers were morons when I asked if they were taking pre-orders for Killzone 2, and the idiot says; and I quote, "Ok, let me check, what system is that for?". I just wanted to hang the phone up when he said that, but wanted to see if maybe he had an idea about the cards. His replay was "Um, we hope to be able to do that, because every store has a quota and if we get enough pre-orders we will have those I think". At this point I did hang up.

I would preorder, but as a savy shopper. I am pretty sure once the end of February comes around I will be able to find the game cheaper at Walmart, Best Buy or somewhere else.

As I also only play demo's once (doesn't matter if it's single player or multi). I'll likely pass on the preorder bonus.

23 - I think I know why....
They are doing the demo like this. Its because the "Demo" will have all the same things as the "Beta", both SP and MP put into a small demo package to be freely played until the game comes out. It makes more sense for them doing it this way if that is true. They just cant let everyone who wants it to get in on playing the MP because of server restrictions (its just a demo so server not as big as real one).

That would be awesome if true.
