LittleBigPlanet Levels Embraced by Some Companies

TGR Writes: "The copyright infringement battles that have been raging over Little Big Planet just took an interesting new turn. Some companies are beginning to realize that there are potential benefits to having their property publicized and enshrined in a popular game."

I would get it if I were you. It never gets old. I played levels of Connect Four which actually knows who wins, a pacman level, many amazing roller coaster ones. Crazy lightsaber fights, Little Dead Space which was amazing, Little Big Pinball, and etc etc. New ones keep on coming everyday and with the paintinator, it brings a fresh gameplay. Hopefully someone makes an amazing contra level or if they did, I haven't found it yet. :P

@1.1

That's the part about the concept behind this game that impressed me the most. It's like the youtube of gaming. You can count on new stuff being added everyday.

It is unbelievable and if you don't see that, you're a damn fool. Picked it up last night, and the amount of things you can create is endless.

Wow, you are a moron.

It's not even 2D. I mean, come on, what a waste of space you are if you can't see that. I'm not even going to bother explaining it to you.

1.5 - You know LBP is doing something right
when every article brings in a hater.

Edit: I didn't read your Edit, but please feel free to keep wasting your time. LBP is beyond fantastic, and you feel threatened by it for some very odd reason.

Make perfect sense to me. Might make some people notice some other games out there by playing an lbp version.

Maybe they will start paying MM for advertisement, that would be pretty crazy!

Now if they were REALLY smart, they'd start working out deals with Media Molecule to release their own really well designed interpretations of the IP. A lot like the Metal Gear Solid thing that's coming out.

Many franchises should just create their own level.

If I developed a game, I'd go recreate it on LBP myself.

The MGS4 pack really resurrected the game for me. I actually like it again... Althogh the oh-so-freaking-weird bugs while creating something really piss me off!

9 - A smart Company
Would develop there own stuff and get it added to PSN like Konami did with MGS. That has to have some major sales since it's release and will show that LBP is a force to be reckoned with.

10 - Hey guys in the U.S of A, and Europe, and Austrailia, and Asia too
Um,down in South Africa,we usually get ripped off with the price of games.u guys pay $60 U.S dollars. . .we pay about $100. . . .anyways,we're used to that.what I dont get,is why LBP here sells for R1000, when normal Ps3/360 games sell maybe R750? I want this game. . .but is it worth that much?I just bought a PS3 two weeks ago,got 3 games, all of em R700.but paying R1000. . . .simply is a bit FcUKD up. Seriously.

10.2 - You know what...
It's same here in Finland too. I had to pay 99$ for LBP too... Also for R2 and it sucks! Atcually, the most largely established retailer in Finalnd sold Heavenly Sword for 120$ when it was released. Think about that

14.2 - Weird....
I didn't know that ratings meant people bought it. If 1.5 million in a month is popular, I would like to know what 2.5 million in 24 hours would be.

wow, finally at least some are getting to their senses.

i NEVER understood why it would be bad for companies to see their copyrighted materials in LBP, i mean it's basically free advertisements!

example: i won a user-made object of Mr. Hankey (the poo character from South Park) to use in level creation, and it reminded me of the show, and made me want to watch an episode or two!

IT WORKS AS ADVERTISING! companies, don't be afraid!
