3 - SquareEnix "WTF"
No SquareEnix games out on the PS3 and its going into its 3rd year on the market, this is just shameful that they are not trying to please the fans any way they can, because there fans are proving that the Ps3 is where the RPG action is, WKC sold 100,000 first day in japan which totally A$$ rapes any Shovelware SquareEnix has brought out on the Xbox360, this should be a lesson Square, don't keep sleeping with Microsoft and turning your backs on the fans because there is a reason your sales are down 74% and your shareholders and your fans will not allow this much longer. besides we both know that the Xbox360 cant even run FF13 the 360 has been optimized and maxed out already with gears of war.

Square has always been kinda been multi platform, I personally don't give a sh1t, it looks sick. I'm just glad scumsoft didnt't buy them out all together.

I'll agree with that, the last really good Final Fantasy has been FFX. FFXI wasn't all that great IMO.

but I do know every Final Fantasy that was the first on every next-Gen console have been Great so I have high hopes for this one...Plus I'll buy a traditional JRPG instead of FFXIII VS first.

since they think since FFVS is exclusive to only the PS3. I bet you if that is multi then it would be opposite.

Just as some already dropped Square since it went multi-plat and jumped on level 5, as you know the same would happen if they made a multi-plat game as well.

5.3 - Kewl speaks the truth
If Square Announced today that Ps3 and 360 would both get all current and future versions of the final fantasy series, and that the ps3 would be the main console it was programmed for and the 360 would get a port regardless of how many disc's it would require. The PS3 owners who's sole reason for purchasing the system was the implied exclusiveness of the final fantasy franchise. Would cry about how microsoft paid and square betrayed etc etc when in reality they feel dooped for dishing out a months car note. I honestly believe that most of the people who are upset are early adopters cause if u bought the system after at the current 399 price point you have no reason to ccry since its been evident from other devlopers that multiplatform was the new Craze.

(i personally believe that they are goin to start forcing you to download a portion of the game from xbox live free ofcourse as a remedy for the inferior dvd9 maybe witha 8 gb limit(reducing the ammount of discs by 1))

I honestly understand why they would be upset and i dont blame them ... But the thing i hate the most is how much these japanese company's are worshiped when they $hit on every other country, in terms of getting things out to other people, system colors, games, price cuts,information on games, etc, etc. Which is the reason i didnt purchase my ps3 yet(YET)

Wow your comment makes no sense whatsoever. I never knew that RE was "Sony" franchise. RE is associated with Nintendo more than any other company. I have friends that didn't know that FF13 will come to 360 until I told them a few weeks ago. People that want to play FF13 have already purchased PS3s years ago. I'm one of many who bought or are waiting on PS3 to drop price for this game. Maybe even when this game comes out, price won't matter to some.

it's one of the most anticipated titles in gaming, and to me the most anticipated title on PS3, right next to Killzone 2.

I mention those together because they are both due out in 2009 and possibly have G.O.T.Y Contender written all-over them.

The 360 version hasn't even started. ^^ PS3 gets the game first, i dont know how people can associate this game with an Xbox, It's been a PS franchise since PS came to be. ^^ i appauld MS for dumping the Cash at these Japanese Developers, Microsoft spends more money pn PS games than PS gamers...

7.1 - Final Fantasy was Asscoiated with Nintendo
FYI there were 6 Final Fantasy's before FF7 ...i know its might be a difficult thing to remember but check your facts, Final Fantasy was on Nintendo and was associated with Nintendo for quite some time, then it was moved to the Sony Playstation because of the superior CD, now its being partially shared between ps3 and 360 (advantage ps3). So i;m sure there were people claiming Final Fantasy wouldnt be associated with Sony, point is you never know what might happen

This looks phenomenal. I just have one issue with it. There is far too much HUD and it's very distracting. Hopefully FFvXIII will have a very clean display and a KH style combat system and story.

Both games are being developed with SE's inhouse white engine, the same engine.each being develpoed on the playstation 3 first, so ffvs13 won't be the second coming either

Square wants to make money. Many can blame Microsoft but if you're company where down 74% in a world economy like this one. Then you'd make sure to find a way to recoup.

Now as for the systems the game is on, only PS3 Stans feel betrayed. Reminds me of many Nintendo fans back in the day when they felt butt rapped by Square going with Sony. So the cycle happens again. If anything if you are a true fan of FF then you would want them to make a classic game overall. That way in this new generation you have a true jrpg that gives you satisfaction on whichever console you plan to play the game on.

11 - Here's why I can't respect Square Enix:
...Let's think about what happened to many of the Enix franchises since the merge.
-Illusion of Gaia: largely ignored; it's pseudo-sequel, Terranigma, never saw light outside of emulation. Maybe Enix was going to bring it over. Maybe another game would have been made. But nah.
-Grandia: granted, it's Game Arts, but I believe Enix had a hand in bringing the original to the PSX. Then Grandia 2 to the Dreamcast... then we get Xtreme which perfects the battle system (but forgets about a story). Then Squeenix releases the half-finished Grandia 3. I dunno, but it really feels like Square may have rushed those out the door to make room for "bigger" titles.
-Valkyrie Profile: The original was given to us by the Enix Gods. The second, by the Squeenix Gods. It shows. Still a great game, but just... missing the magic.
-Star Ocean: I've never been a huge fan of Star Ocean, but just look at the hate the third title has gotten. Don't hear as much about the first two, as far as hate goes.

My point is... Enix, tri-Ace, and Game Arts have all been victims in this "merger". All of their games have suffered. Heaven help us if Level 5 didn't take charge of Dragon Quest VIII. It is for those reasons (among less serious ones, like ignoring the potential in a Vagrant Story sequel, or absolutely ruining the Mana franchise and never giving us the best game in its series (Seiken Densetsu 3)) I have no respect for Square Enix. Well, Square. Enix can't help what it was forced to marry.

actually, Enix was not the developer of Illusion of Gaia/Time( i'm replaying that game its brilliant).
Quintet were the developers.

But Illusion of Gaia, was before the merge?
