Microsoft halts Resident Evil 5 co-op Demo outside of Japan

In a disappointing move, Microsoft has decided to disable the online co-op features of the Resident Evil 5 demo to those of us that aren't living in Japan.

But I believe most people just want to try out the game itself! The multi aspect of it would have been a great bonus, but seeing how the game looks and plays is more important in my opinion.

people outside of Japan aren't playing the demo online. I think they are going to drop the banhammer again.

Anyway, for the rest of US this sucks. I thought only Sony snubbed western gamers, I guess M$ is vying for all of sony's crowns.

now that's why Sony is the best because whenever we make different accounts from other countries and download demos they don't disable them or delete them, Microsoft u r greedy and tied asses hands down

are you playing it on disc? when i tried to load up the demo, maybe cause i was signed in, it wouldnt load, then the file went corrupt.

I find it funny that people scoff at things like the term "money hat" which colloquially has come to mean some form of incentive for developers, when its definitely a common occurrence in today's gaming industry.

Making a demo a limited release is just beyond silly and a disservice to consumers.

I don't see a reason why they would do this, it may have more to do with Capcom than MS. They may have only secured early release rights from Capcom in Japan only. Capcom may want the WW release of the demo to be the same for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
