Random Gamer's First Impressions of Dead Space

One of those was Dead Space (EA) which was at Target for only $30(!). It's been pretty crazy over the Thanksgiving weekend for me, but last night I had a chance to sit down and play through a bit of it. I thought it was amazing! It's one of my fav. for sure! I finished the game and started the new walkthrough right away. Without spoiling anything.. The final boss.. Is the bad assest looking boss I have ever seen!

1.5 - borrowed it for my 360, and got all but the 'Epic Tier 3 Engineer' achievement.

I liked the game so much, I am asking for it on the PS3 side for Christmas. This is just one of those games that with the lights low or off and your surround system on, some of the noises that come from those speakers will (and I do mean WILL) get your heart pumping fast.

It was only $30 for black friday and the saturday after at Target. It is still a $60 game. I got it for $30 and I am not dissapointed at all. I am loving this game. It is fun and very scary the first run though.

I use the buzz saw all the time.. haha.. I do like the force gun too though.. I like how it just blows the enemies away and limbs go flying off.

I always used either The Ripper (saw) or my favorite the Line Gun cuz there is nothing better than killing several enemies at the same time :D

Haven't played the PS3 version, but I'm not upset one bit with the way the 360 version turned out. Looks amazing. From the videos I've seen you can't tell much difference

A tip as well. I don't know if this is a secret but if you turn the camera around right after the very first cutscene you the to see Isaacs face before he puts on the helmet.

4.1 - absolutly a great thriller game

even playing it the third time through getting the achievements, hearing things scurry from behind you gets your heart going. There is always something clanging and pipes dropping from the ceiling causing you to do a quick scan of the room.

Very freaky. You will be walking around hearing something roaring in the next room. Or you will hear nothing at all and then the room goes into lockdown because of bio-contaminants. Very creepy.

for 30 dollars he is picking up a scare fest,the atmosphere does it to me,my wife just laughs when i try to play

9 - i play this on my ps3

im not like most that look at all the nuances in graphics for the sake of arguing but if the ps3 was indeed the lead console i gotta tell ya they did a tremendous job,this is one of those games that when i saw the trailer i knew we finally reached a point in video games when they arent distinguishable from movies,the atmosphere,graphics everything just screams next gen.....love it

10 - Awesome game

He will have a heart attack. This game should be played by everyone, it's awesome. But you have to play it with the sound up, i used my head phones :). It will scare the crap out of you. No game has made me jump as much has this one, but if you have the sound low it won't have that same effect.

I'm still working on this game. I have half the trophies for it.
Very awesome game. Atmospheric, great voice acting, good lines and plot twists. 9.6/10 from the personal archives.

I should go back to Uncharted as well. I could be racking up some serious trophies for e-peen level ups1!
