I see no negative spin? Surely if Kotaku were so anti-PS3 they wouldn't post a story telling you that official merchandize is now available that corresponds with a PS3 title? Their story can do nothing but inform more people of the product and there for potentially create more sales/money for Sony.

Basically he's getting at them for their continued sly digs at anything PS3 related.

Whether or not they are anti-ps3 they'll always report the news because that is their purpose and increases their hit count but it's the way in which they do it at times that gets some people. Personally I couldn't care less what they write as I rarely visit Kotaku.

I guess, but people seem so sensitive these days, Kotaku will always drop a few controversial lines if it's easy, like many many other sites. I don't think this article is in anyway a deliberate attack on either the PS3 or LBP.
