Sony Promises to Improve LittleBigPlanet Moderation

www.pushingplay.com writes "Sony is a LittleBitDissapointed with their LittleWeakSales for LittleBigPlanet. The game itself was great, but excessive moderation took a lot of the magic out of the experience. It seems like their trying to do some damage control....."

4 - The game is great for me...
'Cause I love to create. Rather than being anything like the folks that copy other's ideas, I create my own stuff and it's very satisfying. Granted, they have moderated the levels a bit much, I still feel that with my levels, nothing bad has happened and it is more than likely due to my levels having no copyrighted material in them and no, absolutely no... "adult content".

"Sony is a LittleBitDissapointed with their LittleWeakSales for LittleBigPlanet"

could people please stop using those stupid puns to bash LittleBigPlanet's sales? i mean, come on, it's infantile.

anyway, it's good to see someone from Sony admitting this problem, and resolving to fix it

7 - The most interesting part of the article
was the $4.99 T-shirt price being justified because it is "rare" at $4.99...duh

8 - "Oh… and they also blame the whole mess on the gamers. It’s YOUR fault for reporting these wonderful levels!"
LMAO at that line.

Can they spin this any more than they have?

9 - I love the game, but...
I had one of my levels (named Into The Underworld) deleted without any warning or explanation. I only used the tools from within the game and no outside images, meaning no copyright infringement, and nothing that I or any of my friends who played it would consider "adult-related" content.
And the level was only played 5 times online before getting deleted.

The only thing I think could possibly have gotten it deleted is the inverted-pentagram symbol, which is a symbol used in paganism and satanism, I created within the level. Now if that was considered offensive to someone, then that's just bullsh*t. The game lets you use pre-made crosses, and one of the levels/backgrounds is in a graveyard that has crosses on tombstones and on top a church.

If I got my level deleted because someone was offended by a religious symbol, then MM and Sony are hypocrites and need to recall this game once again and remove any and ALL religious references and symbols.

I'm guessing it was removed because of the name being similar to a film.

whoooo knows.

It was removed because it was a user-created level, which would be infringing on a copyright given to any company that makes levels for any game!!! No problem, just take out the user-created levels feature from the game and you're all set!!!
