1.5 - oh man mine already bugged out...

When I went to internet browser and to Youtube. I used my keyboard to type in the youtube search bar and it would freeze my type in window after everything else has loaded up on the page.

This happened twice in a row already...

Just to make sure, I did it a 3rd time.... The window freeze comes on exactly when the PS3 browser's mouse/pencil mark loads up.
All 3 times I am unable to go to XMB menu but can only goto the shut system down menu.

If somebody knows Sony people forward this problem to them please...

I'm hoping this firmware update will get some websites to work properly for me.

I've been trying to watch some old Twilight Zone episodes on cbs.com, but it won't work...

Hulu.com works but it's still touch and go for some reason.

Not to be an A-hole, but I think they know what to do more than you.
They have three very popular systems under their belt.
They are still making money off their PS2 and PSP.
Now they are making a profit from Blu-ray.

A lower price might very well be what they need but I don't think you are the one that should decide that for them.

Any Idea of how much they still lose per system?
I would really like to know.

When Home comes out will it be filled with every developers website or Home-space? I hope Home is bigger and better than the beta.
How big will home be?
We don't know.

I feel confident that Sony is on the right course and things will change soon for them.

A price cut would help sell PS3's but would that make it a good business move?

I think they know more than any of us.

If you see them lower the price then they are desperate.
Not sure they are yet.

sony will lose even more money if they prop the price now apposed to waiting and milking the current price because it is selling rather well at the price its currently at ok.

dont you think sony would of dropped the price already if it would profit them more?

worked out why this is a important update,the new my resistance finally works on ps3,so that keeps the stat tracking really close,finish a session on R2,fire up the browser hit the bookmark there it is.

Also KZ.com is fully working on the ps3 browser now.

In the browser, you can set view > maximum size, and your PS3 should remember that setting. The browser would fill your screen that way.

13.3 - If it really takes 2 hours to update your PS3...then you have your router configured totally wrong...

Even a Xbox 360 update is way less than 5 mins....

The PS3 system updates are 10 mins or less.

First get a faster internet connection. Roadrunner turbo is 25megs down and 2 megs up for about $55 a month.

I dont care which console is selling the most or which console gets the most games because im not the one that will be earning that money ;].

SONY should cut the crap with releasing those poor firmware updates. What they should focus on is the cross game chat.

I own both 360 and PS3 and i got to say that the 5 or 6 person chat is nice. You can create a private chat, and not be disturbed by other players.

Lol im just on here now while mine downloads and installs and woop its done

for something which on average takes 5-10 minutes to do, its amazing how it just makes the console better and better each time

with each day your PS3 gets stronger, with each FW update it gets better,

with each day your 360 gets weaker, which each game you play itgets closer to RRoD'ing

Well my brand new PS3 played BluRay discs for 3 weeks and then the laser crapped out on me.

Sounds like the old PS2 laser diode problems all over again. When I got the PS3 brand new I got a system update and it hang while installing. After rebooting a couple of times it revived for 3 weeks when the BluRay died.

The 360 dash update took me 3 minutes without a problem

Mart is so full of crap its unreal. 1- hes to poor for a ps3. 2- His 2 360's RRoD even before the 360 update. 3- the only console out atm that dies like crazy is the trashcan 360.
