GT5 Prologue SUCKED!!

Why did it suck? Because it was like licking the spoon after making cookie dough - the cookie dough is so damn good and it makes you want the cookies so bad but you have to wait for what seems like an eternity. That's how GT5 Prologue is, it's just a small taste of what's yet to come and it makes you want the finished product even more! Damn I can't wait til GT5! I want it now...now, now, NOW!

If there was a chance to make a bet I'd place a little sum for this Christmas 2008. There was no direct quote to 2009 was there? Earlier this year game maker of GT stated that the game will arrive sooner than you think so a big Christmas surprise from Sony wouldn't be out of the question.

is a prologue and most people consider it a teaser for GT5. If you want to compare a teaser to a teaser, look at GT4P which sold around 1.36 Million. Now if you look at GT5P, its actually doing pretty good for a teaser of the final game.I'm actually surprised that it got to 2 Million when considered by many people a demo of sorts.

I am not bashing the game at all. I think the fact I have owned an Xbox console for 6 years has left me expecting built in voice chat to games. Racing game or not, it's a relatively basic feature that should be included in all multiplayer games in this day and age. Sure you can argue its a feature outside of the core gameplay, but online games with no banter are boring and I feel the addition of voice chat would only add to the game and the experience as a whole.

Whats the problem with having chat? If you don't like it just turn it off, personally I enjoy having a laugh with mates as I leave them in the dust ;). Not to mention, Forza has been out longer on a console with a bigger install base and GT5P is a "demo".

Poor timing for Forza 3 more like, the ONLY driving similulator will be back to its fully charged, Perfect Cell form.

They better delay Forza 3 until 2011 or else it will be released to sheer indifference, like the last 2.

There was no game on or over a 9 out of 10 at that time. No MGS4 or LBP.

So I am pretty surprised it sold just 2 mln.

I bet when GT4p came to Europe in 2004 there were a lot more PS2's out there 4 years after its release then the PS3 had sold when GT5p came.

Thus, larger install base, obiviously means even with more games out a mediocre game/demo sells. So no with the PS2 probably GT4p didn't have the boost in sales because there were no other good games. With GT5p it certainly was the case. I mean heck, the PS3 was bundeled with that demo at the end of 2007 I can remember. I was standing in a shop and saw the bundle pack, I was checking out the games and though... Damn Sony doesn't have more to sell the PS3 with then a demo? There you have the lack of games and the users needed to play something at that time.

there's a reason real life race drivers practise with GT, there's a reason why people have 15 grand GT setups, there's a reason why GT conventions attract manufacturers from around the globe... to even make exclusive outings at the convention

that reason is that GT is and always will be the number one console simulator... the most advanced, the most revered

GT5 improvements over GT last gen? are photo-realistic graphics, online mode (Kazanori said they're working on a full online mode for the full release), damage modeling (and since it's PD, it's going to be mega-realistic, they're even crashing real life cars to see how they respond to impale), improved physics, more cars and tracks than ever before, GTTV... and i think there's a track editor in the works too

why I like this dudes vids is because you think it's easy to drive those cars like that but trust me,stick a set of N3's no TC or ABS and come and tell me the physics suck.

the problem with most GT5p players is they run R3 full race slicks on cars that don't use them and that makes the game much easier,but read the manual,pick the tires PD recormend for real grip levels for that car and you'll know why the physics are top notch.

Some people will and have argued that the physics suck and it's just the graphics that doing all the G force,roll,suspension,weight transfer but it's the physics that drive the graphics,abd thats why it looks so friggin real.

Ok now what I want for 5 is full G25 support,damage,PD have said that it's only one or two manufactures that are still iffy,namely Ferrari,PD said the other month that ferrari won't let them put a scratch on the car even if it's seen in the wing mirror,but they said it's a shame because Porsche told them you can right off the cars.
If I was PD I first offer Ferrari some more cash if they say no,drop them.
Full weather is a given,and it will be real time to,if you look at the GT5p home page you have a world map with live data for the weather,and temps of all the major race tracks in the world.

I really cant wait as GT5p was the first GT game I've owned and after many years racing PC Sims this is the one I'm really looking forward to
