SCEE messes up, try SCEJ for Home

Delayed Killzone? GG stated in an interview it was a decision made by both GG and Sony to move KZ2 post Xmas to avoid releasing along side a bunch of other titles (taking interest away from other Sony games), and to give GG those extra few month to polish away, which I think has clearly not been wasted. I believe Dec 4th has some incredible single player footage going public. That should show that any delay to KZ has been worth every second.

SCEE mess up quite a bit, being a UK resident I'm on the end of the majority of their c0ck ups, but they have a much more challenging market to run than say, SCEA. Even basics like all the language barriers that face SCEE.

i'm not talking about the push to feb. 2009. that was actually a brilliant move. i have too many ps3 games this holiday to add a huge game like killzone 2 to my play time this holiday.

but. with uk obstacles like you mentioned. localization of singstar. (thank god that job is going to india). games that they canceled for eyepet etc.

when you think about the expected budget and release of killzone 2... SCEE should have known it was incapable to deliver on time. of course they want K2 to succeed. i do to. but as a financial investment, SCEE has turned K2 into a money pit.

they should have realized they were in way over their heads. K2 IS looking great, but K2 has been a financial and public relation nightmare for sony due to SCEE's handling of the title. although thats just my opinion, SCEE did admit that they went way over budget and mishandled some of the original resources.

(I know Guerrilla is only the developer and cant put too much on them, at least not completely, but how SCEE handled Guerrilla's needs or dealt with them and others to deliver projects is not good)

in my honest opinion. SCEE should be working with the smaller titles like slant 6, evolution etc

SCEA should receive some of the bigger budgets that SCEE hands out.

not to mention some of the advertising that has been little to no help come from SCEE.

i STRONGLY feel there needs to be a re-organization at SCEE or at least sony executives need to emphasize to SCEE that they need to tighten up their ship.

its not all bad from SCEE but.... this is the way i see it.

SCEE = big budgets, bad advertising, their strongest market doesn't need SCEE to handle its releases (soccer and racing)

SCEA = majorly underfunded. lack of emphasis on quality and bigger picture when it comes to releases. (some of the SCEA titles need bigger budgets and killzone like extensions)

SCEJ = says screw SCEE & SCEA, they are doing their own thing and are happy to work alone without SCEE or SCEA. thats really SCEJ's problem. its independence is its strong point and its weak point.

there is a lot of talent at the SCEE offices. but they are not thinking globally enough to me.

While I won't blame the French here, I've had access to the beta since it first came out a year or more ago. And personally, I've had NOTHING but problems trying to get it to work on my PS3. I'd swear my PS3 had a virus if Home wasn't the only thing that didn't work, but I can download the application, load it, and it'll either run and refuse to connect online or it won't run at all. The worst piece of software engineering I've encountered on the PS3 in this day and age. I know games like Fallout 3 and Assassin's Creed might have had a few problems before the patches, but I've discovered this throughout the entire history of the Home Beta. It just doesn't work for me. Maybe it's just me, I have no clue but EVERY version of the beta I get just refuses to work. This includes version 1.0.

Do know what is Astonishing??? HOME is Different if you go to the Japanese one and if you go to the U.S one!!! ;-P
