On the PlayStation 3 it was originally white with no background now it's under the PlayStation Network as a light blue and white icon. Technically speaking they didn't change anything.

The real news should be that they took out the PSPs, created clubs with your own club room(s) with bulletin boards etc, and can access the XMB through PlayStation Home now. I think there are more changes but haven't got around to them yet.
