I swear MGS4 is one of the most traded back in games Ive come across, its great but its so story based people only play it once. That being said, I still have my copy and might try it online sometime.

Its not bad if you have a friend or two to go in with you. The whole PSN community isn't as open or talkative as the XBL is.. so friends are the best way to enjoy this one

It's understandable though.. there have been a ton of great games out since this one debuted. It's nice to see support for it though. Maybe it'll bring new people to the online aspect of it, and bring more people like yourselves back to it =)

This will be a good reason to dust off MGS4. I didn't get into much of the multiplayer, but what I played of it was pretty fun.

Online is really fun if you take your time with it. The only issue for me was that I sucked at head shots. So I'm glad there are new gameplay modes to turn of head shots. I havent really had time to go back to the game so i guess next week i'll have a reason to put some of my new games down and go back to it.

The new rule changes sound cool, especially since I can't make a head shot to save my life. Those who can, now lose the advantage lol.
The maps sound cool too. The forest firefight sounds like a Vietnam type experience. Maybe it will be even better if would ever get to 360!

14.2 - Too fn slowpaced and not very rewarding..
The controls scheme works great for Single -player but when you throw in the multiplayer matches it's awkward + Slowness. Not enough Game modes.
Plus I hate shooting games with the Dualshock controller.(Read my Profile) I bought MGs4 because I was intrigued by the story and was a very satisfying single player. Not many people have MICs on PSN. I hate that ID crap Konami has.

Someone stated earlier this is one of the most traded in games and they right just go ask some top game stores. If MGO was the sh^t that wouldn't be so.

I think really it just needs getting used to. It is slow and the controls are awkward (in the beginning) but if once you get over that it is terrific. I don't really agree about there not being enough game modes, though. There are 7 modes at the moment which is a pretty healthy number.

I do think the whole konami ID thing is a bit daft but it's a one off thing and once you've set one up (which takes about 2 minutes) you never have to worry about it again.

The problem is, really, that the game is so different to every other game out there that it can be pretty difficult to acclimatise to it. Once you do, though, it becomes very varied and rewarding. I now find most other MP games repetitive because I'm used to having so many options beyond 'point and shoot'.

Still, like you said 'to each, his own' and if it's not for you then so be it.
