TheSixthAxis get their hands on Valkyria Chronicles: "The game comes with an optional 4GB install (but the load times off the disk are fine) if you want it, and it's straight into the story, which is divided up into chapters and episodes, some of which are cut-scenes and some are the battle sequences. There's the option at the start to select the original Japanese voices (were are great) or the English dub, which is reasonable too."

Yes! Thank you Sega! This is how developers should start doing in their game! Make the install optional if it doesn't significantly cut the load times! And thank you for the choice of the Japanese voices!!!

i like optional. RPG games are long play time.

i'll most likely be installing this. i have a 120gb drive and am about to cancel my FFXI account. that alone will also free up about 12gb of space.

you can get a 320gb drive now for about $85.

I will almost always install it for increased performance, but the optional install will give people 1 less thing to complain about.
