look im a ps3 fan as im a 360 fan, and i love gears with all my heart as i do killzone 2, now i just hope they take this scoring system down before anymore good games get tainted with shameful scores by childish kids. seriously this infuriates me more than you, you don't even know.

yes i know about lbp, but seriously this needs to end now or else ill fear for killzone 2, one of my soon to be favorite games. played the beta and all i have to say is this game is COD4 and team fortress combine on crack, fun as hell, jaw dropping graphics and amazing physics. god please don't let this happen?

Quite frankly, I'm glad this is happening. Maybe it'll force metacritic's hand into doing something about the damn user ratings.

They had no intention of changing the LBP ratings. Very shady and/or lazy.

But now that they see this will continue to affect ALL user ratings for new releases, Metacritic may finally come to their senses and wipe the scores when the game is finally released.

Also, they are making a step in the right direction by having mandatory registration if you want to rate games. This should have been done from the beginning, and it shows how naive Metacritic is.

Heck, I was gonna join in the fun and rate down some games, but I was too lazy ;)

honestly why can't ppl do things more constructive nowadays, than go thru all this trouble over a video game? Come on, what is the motivation behind ppl doing such acts, it appears as if they take these rating problems almost to a personal level which is incredibly unhealthy.

There is clearly no rationale behind these actions, do these ppl get a sense of satisfaction out of doing this, honestly this is immature, impulsive behaviour one would expect from children, its the classic "you break my toy i'll break yours" attitude, no wonder soo many ppl (refering to non-gamers) don't take gamers seriously.....

User reviews are useful for other products, but in the strange world of video games - anyone who can't see through the low user scores of LBP or GeOW2 is gullible as heck.

And everyone bee-otching above me with their "This has gone too far... blah blah blah... fanboys... blah blah... pathetic what's happening... blah blah" who apparently didn't see this coming from a mile away, are gullible too.

I was dearly hoping the PS3 fans would take the high road, and show themselves to be something qualitatively different from the 360 fans who so recently defecated all over themselves and our sense of what is good, decent, and dammit, FAIR in the gaming community.

This is nothing new! Every high profile game gets low scores from the fanboys. I don't know who started it, but I have been going to metacritic for over a year, and have noticed that the 360 reviews were usually set with low scores first, before the Ps3 games got hit with them!

Maybe it's because when I first started going there, the Ps3 didn't really have games that fanboys were too concerned about. I don't know. It could have been either side...
