Report: Obama Ads in Burnout Paradise

Game Politics.com have only gotten one report of this, which seems a bit odd, but an Xbox Live gamer who goes by Dragunov765 has posted photos of what appear to be in-game ads for Barack Obama.

I guess he's reaching out to the gaming community. Hey, Obama, if you really wanna reach out, pass a bill for all video game software to never each a price point of $30.

(In my f*cking dreams)

This prick and all government needs to stay the hell away from my games. It's the only place I can go to get away from the morons that think they know what's best for me.

you have to admit its a VERY unique place to campaign, just dont know how much its going to hit the target crowd, but i guess when you get so much money in endorsements why not spend it everywhere.

osama - obama, who cares.

I see that there are Hussein Obama fanboys on this site, what's sad is that some of you people think that the politician that you vote for actually care about anyone other than themselves.

6.3 - @UGA_1
Wow what made you so cynical? I can understand what your saying, but the way you say it makes you look ignorant and close-minded.

@UGA_1(Below)Don't get me wrong. I'm not asking you to take back your comment, I assume it is how you feel, so keep speaking you mind. I didn't make it clear that I was pointing at the fact the this nation has been plagued by lack of education, a reliance on fear, and an all around negative view of anyone who doesn't share the same views. I am also not saying that these necessarily apply to you, thats for you to decide. For the record, I don't blindly follow anyone, my decision to vote for a certain candidate is not based on who is most popular at the time. I take that time to listen to the candidates, then from what I hear I lean a certain way. However, my decision comes down to the day I check the box and send my absente ballet in. I vote because I can, because if I don't the thing I want to happen have a smaller chance of happening.

And I have to completely agree, politics and games really shouldn't be in the same room together.

I can understand what you are saying as well, but that doesn't change my opinion of people who blindly follow someone based upon popularity to me they are ignorant and close-minded. I'm freakin sick of politicians they all talk about change and have you heard a strategic plan from either side about the process involved in initiating this so called "change". I will gladly take back my cynical a-hole comments if I can see an actual plan put into motion with way for the people to make sure that it's being followed through and if it doesn't happen the politician gets booted, no 4 year free ride.

I'm just saying let me play the games that I payed for without getting politics involved.

Please give me more negatives for not supporting someone who has NO experience to run our country, we've tried it for 8 years folks! Wake up and smell the ROSES! OBAMA is not the guy who needs to run our country. Socialism is where it will be, I just can't understand it.

I'll vote Barry because he has videogame ads! YEAH! I'll vote for Barry, because he embraces total government control over everything I do! YEAH! Dems, want to control you! Don't believe the hype of freedom through them! More taxes! Big government, more government control! I'm all for it!

What a joke.

You know, i think the only reason Burnout was dropped to $29.99 was because of those advertisements (Not the Obama one, but ads in general). Either that or Criterion/EA were feeling generous.

13 - I hate in-game ads...
... when they have absolutely nothing to do with the game, or the world it's set in.

Prime example: Crackdown is set in the future, yet it had billboards for new movies in the game. Nice way to rip you out of the experience(!) It sucks!

I dont mind 'real' ads in footballgames or racing games, where you would expect those ads... but when they're unrealistic (as in the example I just gave with Crackdown), it diminshes the value and enjoyment of playing.

I have nothing against Obama btw, I hope he becomes the next president. I just dont want to see out-of-place ads in games where they will take you out of the experience.

There should be an option you can chose in the game-settings, to ask you if you want the ads in the game to be as they were designed by the developers, or if you are OK with alternating 'dynamic' ads.

i hate when people do that stuff, on either side

in my towns downtown it is extremely pro mccain i know this cause there is an obama headquarters in it and every house and business in the town is littered with mccain or republican signs except that one spot

funny i was extremely pro mccain a week ago, now i am completely neurtal...my vote will be decided by the debate next week.

18.6 - #18 voting for Obama makes you cool
because he has a Hollywood support base. You do think Hollywood is cool, right? And when you turn on your TV for news...who does the network think is cool? Well if you don't know, the networks and everybody who works for them want to live the Hollywood lifestyle and want to have friends in Hollywood, so Hollywood is cool. Now if everybody in Hollywood is cool and likes Obama you can be cool too if you vote for Obama also.

You see, TV is the answer if you are easily programmed.
