Resistance 2 Beta Real Close

On the official resistance 2 forum an official adminstrator posted this
"Hey everyone,

Over the last few days, I've seen several threads that *think* they know the start of the public beta. Well, they are wrong.

We haven't announced any firm dates for the beta yet. But trust me, it's close (like, real close). Please be patient and just ignore the threads falsely reporting the start date. As soon as we can tell you, we will--promise!

disregard the oct 17th public beta one unless that starts for the european date. However i am so happy its so close hehe still if its so close why don't they just tell us the date... IF ITS SO CLOSE.

yea sony needs to just give out a demo the game is less than a month away lbp beta should just be a demo as well i dont get why they dont just let us all play though i thik these betas are helping build a bit more hype atleast for lbp

The game is pretty much done. The beta access is just to iron out the details. It's not like they need to give access to betas months in advance. However, they DO that, but those groups you rarely no about because they are under non-disclosure agreements. Any time a beta hits a month before release it's mostly for building hype, as well as just getting a ton of people involved to make sure there aren't any issues with the servers, any bugs they missed, etc. At this point, though, the game is all ready practically gold.

Another idiot that doesn't know anything about Insomniac and fails to understand that a MP game needs just as much testing on the server software and backside as it does with actual user game code.

I just dont understand why theres a need for a beta when the damb game is going to be out in about 30 days. With COD4 and HAL03 betas were out on both games like 6 months prior to release. Just doesnt make any sense.
