Killzone 2: 3rd Beta will be more open

'I contacted Yvonne Von Berg to talk about the possibility of acquiring a beta key to write an impressions preview. Her response wasn't what i hoped for, but i found out some important info regarding the third phase of the games beta testing. Yvonne Says:

"The current beta testing phase, is the second of three and is not open to the public; phase three will be a lot more open so please keep an eye on our forums and www.killzone.com for news."'

If i understand the situation KZ2 is virtually finished, right ? So Guerilla will have 4 extra month of time to polish every aspect of the game ?

yup, beta means you are able to play the game from start thru finish, what happens in this stage now is Fixing, polishing, testing and of course see if they can up the graphics a bit more if possible.

Beta is just another stage of development, it doesn't mean the game is finished, probably far from it.

Beta's seem to have become the new name for demos, running them weeks before release with little to no time to implement any changes needed. GG are actually running the beta months before release. I expect the feedback they receive will be more than ample to keep them busy for the next few months.

But I expect they're a still working on all area of the game, from visuals to menu screen.

Reason Sony held it back is because they don't want the game to eitehr overshadow or be overshadowed by Resistance 2. They want to space things out bc they have enough heavy hitters (LBP, R2, MotorStorm 2) and a crap load of multiplatforms htting this year.

SO if sony's not lying, they are just polishing and possibly working on the beginning of their next project

Killzone graphics also pwns R2, so it makes sense to release R2 first as well i believe. (my own opinions)

7 - yeah the game is done
Lil w/e gliches sometime to be ones one big glich. Just like in the 1game when u kill someone n the guy stays on the air. Funny hahaha but once they kill him againg he was down n lil stupid glichs that I will not notice if they were people in the room n one time frame drop for one second. Noting important but only one time that mean the game looks n plays good virtualy perfect n they have over 4 mounts to perfected :)

i sure hope i get in
with the luck i've been having with beta's & such
so far i got LBP beta, SOCOM beta, R2 beta, & Home beta & hopefully i might get in to this one
but i doubt i might but it don't matter to me this game looks amazing either way & im willing to wait till it comes out early next year X)
