even amongst gamers who prefer the 360. The fact that 360 owners are more excited about PS3 titles than 360 titles says a lot about what Sony and their respective developers are putting out for that system. Some of them even go so far as to make predictions about which PS3 titles are going to go multiplatform on end up on the 360 as well.

I don't see PS3 fans making rumors about 360 titles crossing over, so it looks like Sony's doing a better job with their games, at least at this point in time.

You keep coming at the PS3 like it's not going to sell games. Don't you guys always say that it's the games that sell the system. The PS3 has one AAA exclusiive already and it's been two and a half months since it launched. March is already bringing in some cool, fun games too. When I see the 360's past and upcoming hits, I'm flooded with shooters. When I look at PS3, I see more variation in upcoming exclusive titles. Yes Resistance is a shooter, but come later on there's Motorstorm, Lair, Warhawk and Heavenly Sword which all look fantastic. Give me a list of 360 action titles where a guy isn't wielding a gun.

I'll say that it might or might not be a PS3 exclusive. Capcom has made their decision already I bet but they just haven't announced it. Maybe some people buy games based on developers but DMC is not like Dead Rising or Lost Planet. It's not a sure thing that it will sell, but then it's not a sure thing that it won't sell. Hell, it might sell better on the 360 because of more units, but then it's not sure whether they're targeting the right audience. It might sell better on the PS3 because of PS2 fans of the series, but it's still not a sure thing that they have PS3s.. The fact that it can be done on 360 maybe makes it less appealing if it's exclusive to PS3, but still worth it. We just have to wait and see if Capcom clears everything up.

What Capcom does with its titles is completely up to them, and based on what happened with Resident Evil 4's "guaranteed exclusivity", seeing DMC, Dead Rising, and Lost Planet become multiplatform isn't farfetched.

It's hard to ignore the popularity of a growing platform, especially in an age where game development costs are skyrocketing. A lot of anti-Playstation individuals are trying to paint the PS3 as a weak platform with minimal development support; too bad they're doing a pisspoor job at it.

Developers know that there are 110 million potential PS3 owners out there who are just waiting for killer apps to appear on the system. Did Gears of War appear on Day 1? No. It appeared on Day 354. The fact that many of them are whining about how many PS3 owners there are only 9 weeks after launch shows how desperate some of them have become in defending their platform of choice.

Lets see...Gave Newell (Developer of one the greatest games of all time - Half Life 2) said it was a disaster... Time Magazine, New York Times, CNN Tech, G4 have also called it a disaster!

Its funny how sony boys talk about Gears of War being our first next gen game! Call of Duty 2, Graw, Oblivion screamed next gen and all 3 were rated higher than Resistance! Gears of War is a masterpiece and a NEW franchise like this comes around every 3-5 years! To bad the ps3 has nothing in 2007 that brings the excitement of GOW!

IGN and Gamespot both agree the most wanted games for 2007 is the 360!!!

Tell me again why I would want a ps3???

I'll take this rumor with a grain of salt but it does say:

"PSM is reporting that Capcom will be showing some more Microsoft love and will be bringing the series to the Xbox 360. We’ve all heard this rumor before, but we’re starting to feel a little more giddy by the day"
-so I think its got a little more creditability if Playstation Magazine themselve's did actually report this....its not like they have anything to gain by making up "good news" for the 360, but again its not official so we'll see.

-[Edit] WOW ha, ha even the Sonyfanboy leader DJ sounds like he can see the writing on the wall, lol, just kidding DJ....honestly your last post makes sense (how did you do that?) at least some of it...I don't know about 110 mil potential PS3 fans, NO not this time around plus alot of those PS2 sales are "2nd or 3rd time customers", seriously not joking at all but I know alot of people who brought it twice (not always due to bad drive/hardware problem either) sh!t happens over 6 yrs, ya know? At any rate I think its clear that the industry has changed for Sony, but I think the PS3 will keep a few exclusives...in fact I hope they due, hopefully it will be MGS4, -I just need a some "excuse" to "make" me buy one eventually, thats all. (I own every console in the past -thats the real reason I will buy one.)

all true exclusives will be gone. everything will be multiplatform becuase thats where the money is. the final halo comes out this year. thats one exclusive gone. final fantasy has gone multiplatform so theres another exclusive gone. gears franchise may or may not kick off so there that one goes. basically the age of exclusives is out the window. this is next gen now. and with next gen games cost to much to make not to make them multi platform. to me it just makes sense. im an all around gamer (PC,360,PS3,Wii) more of a microsoft guy since i have both PC and 360. but i do like my other titles. but soon it wont matter what u buy becuase everyone will have it. or at least 2 of the 4 or 5 consoles will.

devil may cry should stay on ps3.360 fans only like shooters.they are glad for more games from the excellent list of playstation franchises.but only because it's one less reason to get ps3.and it makes you feel better you're getting the same game a playstation fan is getting.not because they want the game.same with mgs4."splinter cell is better" is the usual comment or "it's more realistic."it's a freakin video game.no game is realistic.join the military like i did.that's REALISTIC.

one of the earlier posts was right.sony saw that third parties would become multiplatform to make up the cost of development.so they decided to make more games themselves.that's why they have a lot of worldwide studios.in europe,america and japan.and phil harrison is overseeing it all.i think they have over 100 games in the making themselves and with trusted 1.5 parties.

they don't know what exactly square-enix(even though 2 final fantasy games are coming) will do.so they have white knight story.they already have the leading racing series of all time with gran turismo.they have one of the best looking and fun off road racing games with motorstorm.jaffe's not fully ready with god of war.so heavenly sword is filling it's place.they have 2 flying games coming out that look promising with warhawk and lair.sony does make fun sports games with mlb and hot shots golf.they have next gen sandbox games like afrika(looks cool to me) and the getaway.they have one great shooter already out with resistance and the "it will surprise you" next gen killzone.they have singing games like singstar.they have the camera games coming like eye of judgement and eyedentify.they have playstation store games.a massive back catalog of ps2 and ps1 games.and i only scratched the surface of just sony made games.i didn't even mention 8 days,ratchet and clank 5,the new naughty dog game,and other obvious choices like socom,syphon filter,world wide soccer,the next game from the ico/sotc team.i could go on and on with just sony made games.not once did i include namco,capcom,konami,sega and the rest of the top dev teams.

you just don't get it baby boys.sony has an action game coming called heavenly sword.and it already looks and plays well just from the small video of the dev PLAYING IT.they have god of war 3 coming out for ps3.they already put out genji 2 for gamer republic.bad camera but but most of it was good.they still have devil may cry 4 coming.multiplatform or not.GOD OF WAR ISN'T COMING TO 360.HEAVENLY SWORD ISN'T COMING to 360.

and there is more coming from just sony without the support from third parties.third parties just add to what sony already has.which is hits from hit makers.

Nothing is really goijg to stay exlusive from third partys these days. That is the way its going because the development is too expensive. Even that epic interview said 'right now' gears is a 360 exclusive, but said it may make its way onto a pC later on. The old days of 3rd party exclusives is all but dead.

The 360 has converted alot of former PS2 owners (I'm one of them). As such, there is a high demand to see DMC4 to come to the 360.

It would be nice to see it released on the 360. I'm sure it would help strengthen the 360 in Japan. It's a bit of a button masher, but still a pretty fun game.

every potentially great game is going to have over hype.gears had lots of hype.but it met that hype and sold 3 million copies.other companies will meet that hype and exceed it too.

but the point is,devil may cry,multiplatform or not,is only adding to sony's "hit franchises".sony's making their own games to fill in any blanks.sports,action,adventure ,rpg,eyetoy,quirky,you name it,they are making games in all catagories.microsoft doesn't make sports,doesn't make rpgs,doesn't make third person action,doesn't make quirky games,etc.they pay other companies or buy them to make games for 360.but are still missing many catagories that support all gamers.not just the hardcore shooter fans.look at what i typed above.post 18.there are games in every catagory being made by sony themselves.now that is support.third parties or not.it's just like nintendo.if no other company supports the systems they make,nintendo still has hits on their own,that are 9 times out of 10,better than third party games.and they support the system long after third parties have left.sony wants to do the same.if third parties run,they still have million selling titles like gran turismo and god of war.sony is not worried.if they were,they would be spending money for exclusive rights.they're not.they're saying,go right ahead if that's what you want to do which is make games for both.they'll find out if that was a good decision or not.

1.Multiplatform games look better on the 360 (Call of Duty 3, Fight Night, Nba 2k7, MLB 2k7, etc...)

2.The 360 has better games and exclusives coming out in 2007! Both IGN and Gamespot agree! Gamespot has ZERO ps3 games on the most wanted while IGNs top 3 has only one ps3 most wanted!( God of War 2, GTA, MGS) The 360 is all over those lists!

3.Big playstation exclusives are starting to jump on the 360 bandwagon like Virtual Fighter! Most skillfull 3D fighter available!!!

4.Nothing in 2007 on the ps3 will bring the excitement that GOW has been! GOW has been sweeping the world!

5.Critics rave about xbox live while they laugh at the playstation network!

6.The playstations motion sensore controller has been a joke!!! No game uses it properly! Just a shake here and a shake there! So pretty much it acts like my penis when I'm done peeing! Just like Hideo Kojima (MGS) said...."GIVE ME THE RUMBLE!"

7.The ps3 is $599 while the 360 is #399 (soon to be $299)

So I get better games, better exclusives, and better online??? All for almost half the cost of a ps3????
WOW, sounds like an easy decision to me!!!!!!

SO WHY WOULD I WANT TO INVEST IN A PS3????
