There's a new Beta of LittleBigPlanet. Levels created here will be available for consumers at launch of the full title.

If you have previously redeemed a LBP voucher code, you must delete any old LBP data and download this version.

well the beta key can only be entered once so no you cant reuse it but it does say you can re-download the new code if you go to download history. Man i would wait a bit post a comment on PS blog when they update the beta code later, just in case

I'm just glad to see MM understood that losing all our precious levels was a big deal. It will be hard to upgrade and lose what I have done so far, but it's better now than 3 weeks later.

If you publish said level, i believe it'll still be there once you've re-downloaded everything.

This is only a theory due to a friend of mine having is LBP save data corrupt on him, yet when he started again his published levels was still there..

So if it doesnt work, dont blame me. :P

Can someone please confirm Hulligan's theory? A post stating how you retrieved your old level or any creations(if possible) would be a great help. I'd rather not lose all my stuff.

Why didn't they think of this from the beginning? Now the level I've worked on for probably 8+ hours is useless... albeit, I can probably remake the level in half the time, but this is still really disappointing. So close to completion...

It might persist online through the update, so try uploading it, then upgrade your version, and then search for your level, and copy it back onto your hard drive.

This is AWESOME. My roommate and I were creating a giant level and were getting very sick of the fact that it'd be deleted for the final game. So we promptly quit and instead were writing everything down and drawing it up in paint. Now we can start working so it'll be ready for the release date.

Plus, this is a pretty good tactic. Anyone that got into the beta and was learning to use the tools now has to lose their (sorry) crap levels and start again with a better knowledge base. God knows my first few sucked, but I didn't publish those attempts. The levels will only get better and better!

Just go into your downloads history and you'll see the name of the beta has been changed to "LittleBigPlanet Online Trial" and it is smaller in size now.

So yeah, you don't need a new code if you are like me and got your code from eurogamer.
