I have been watching all this nonsense with some interest.
Once again a developer has gone to far in the hype and is now just messing fans around.
Shame on you Media Molecule.
You can stick sackboy where the sun don't shine
Media Molecule have put me right off buying LBP.
I feel they have gone one beta release too far.
A few thousand here, a few thousand there, a couple of hundred a few days later.
Beyond a certain point their marketing method lost respect for the fans.
Just make the bleedin beta public and be done with it.
Me? I'm going to wait until A Platinum release is out or buy it used.

2.1 - Com'on man!
Dont hate the game coz we didnt get in beta. They just trying to get the game reconized, which is good for every1. The more games they sell, the more features they'll implement! Like youtube uploading etc etc.

I understand how ya feel. I've been trying 2 get in with no luck.
But dont punish the cute lil' sackboy =(

MM is trying there best, if they could the would hand every1 a code, but since they dont have a enough servers the beta would crash (im guessing).
Plus, upgrading would prolly cost them more, so they wanna wait the cost out?

Either way, dont stay mad and punish yourself. Its looks like a awesome game, get it! No need 2 punish yourself over something futile as this (Beta dats about 2 end in 10 days or so).

It's not the game, (OK my rant does sound like it) its that Media Molecule have gone down that well trodden path of messing fans about.
If there were just a few opportunities to get hands on a big handful of betas some of us would be lucky and some not - well that's life.
But to announce, every few days, that some site somewhere is giving away x number of beta keys is just taking the piss (as we English say)
As I said it's disrespectful.
I'm not punishing myself, beyond a certain point I really do lose interest. The wave of hype does subside after a while.
I dunno if MM really are trying their best. I really do believe what they are doing is a marketing strategy to generate excitement and desire for the game - and That's what is making me angry, their treatment of fans.

But, it might just be the fact that all the beta keys were sent out at the same time, but the sites chose to make em appear at different times?
I mean they do want traffic.. they live for it >_<
