Downloadable content FIFA 09 online on the same day as gamerelease

PS3-Sense writes: "Today FIFA 09 released in Europe and on that very same day the PlayStation Store have been updated with lots of FIFA 09 content in a league pack. The entire pack will cost a total of no less than 17.99 euros and includes six leagues. Its also possible to buy every league apart but that will cost you over 35 euros.

First complains are made on our forums about not including this content in the game itself. We wonder how you think about this?"

1 - It's a rip-off...
... but that was to be expected, sadly.

It seems this is the way of the future(!), and that's a real shame.
Basiclaly, you have to pay 78 euro to get the 'complete package', so inlcuding updates.

Either way, it makes the decision to choose PES2009 over Fifa09 a whole lot easier.

I was hoping this would turn out to be the changes to the leagues since this went gold but alas....

Are any of these leagues good? I don't know football/soccer enough to recognize these league names. I do know some great players so maybe somebody can tell me some big names that are included in those leagues,=.

The leagues, as far as I can see, are
- Barclays Premier League - England
- LIGA BBVA - Spain
- Ligue 1 - France
- Bundesliga - Germany
- Seria A - Italy
- Primera Division de Mexico - Mexico Obviously

Between them they cover all the players you have ever heard of that still play. Personally I would say that the premier league has the most big names if you don't have that already but I'm probably a little biased.

4 - Wrong
I came on here accidently whilst searching for news about Fifas new major update, only to find this article is wrong, and the comments, baffling, yet typical.

The content pack made available is for Adidas live season, a weekly changing stat database linked to the players in the respective leagues? Why do you pay for it? well, first off, you get one free, the rest, takes manpower of implementing the database into the Fifa website (you can vote for stat changes based on form) and also the researchers themselves aswell as extra server power I would imagine.

The comments, whilst baffling, are typical, any chance to get a cheap dig in taken.... you really wouldnt believe that EA would charge for 6 of the biggest worldwide leagues would you?
