Maybe they will address the glaring problems with it such as --

Bikes not handling worth a piss
4 wheelers not handling worth a piss
No inside car view
No headlights for night tracks
better collision detection, as in a pebble shouldn't total your ride

I can go on, but I'm wasting my time as none of these will be worked on. The thing I hate most about MS are the bikes, though. I can't stand them. They don't behave like bikes.

imo bikes were the best handling vehicle on MS, my favourite by far. but yes the game does have its flaws, but the pros far outweigh the cons.

3.2 - I think you're just not good at this game
The vehicle controls are spot on, especially the bikes. They might not be realistic, but hey it's an arcade style of game.

The view from the hood is awesome, an inside view would be nice, but you wouldn't see much as there's so much going on around you most of the time.

Better collision detection : I have to agree with you, but in the MS2 demo I've only had a few problems with that compared to the first MS

This game is one of a kind and no other racer can provide what this game is offering.

Played it have you? And I mean the complete game not the single track demo.

I still play MotorStorm 1 occasionally, still laughs in the face of the majority of off road racers. Far to fun and intense to get tired of quickly.

You really should trying playing something beofre you knock it. Even if you are only doing it for attention.

The scores are probably so different because we already have great racing games like Ridge Racer 7, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Motorstorm so we're used to better racing games I guess.

Title edit please? Actually, get rid of this article, the source is linked to twitter which is worse than a personal blog; reported.

Anyway, its not exactly big news to hear that the follow up is already in development, maybe it will be a real sequel in the sense of truly moving the game forward as Motorstorm PR looks like an expansion pack of sorts (same basic package but new tracks, cars and tweaks to controls etc). To their credit, they aint trying to push PR as being a revolutionary sequel as seen with its low price (£29.99) and title (Pacific Rift not 2). Its not a real dig, I am still buying PR and I will enjoy it I am sure.

I wonder if they will pump out a third game and then move on; a new racing franchise or will they go back to WRC (the rally licence doesn't have a game right now I don't think).

So the twitter post is made better by a post in reply to the story by the same random person. This is news I am sure but by the letter of the N4G rules this is not worthy of publishing.

This article is not something that should have been published; a press release from Sony or Evolution or a video from the actual lecture/Q&A is fine but with no proof and coming from a person with no legacy or history within the industry makes this interesting but not of the quality and accountability that is expected in the N4G rules. I mean, is there even any proof of if anyone from Sony/Evolution ever gave a lecture at a uni? Anything to add a little substance to it?

More and more sub par articles are slipping through the cracks of the N4G site and it would seem that many are willing to accept this but if the rules of what worthy article is are enforced some of the time then they should be enforced all of the time.

And this was approved by a moderator too which makes it even worse that this is a sub par post.

I bet you anything we will see reviewers complaining that Motorstorm 2 is "more of the same", even though they have fixed every single major complaint that people had over the first game.

Up to four-player split screen? Check.
Custom Soundtracks? Check.
Bigger, better vehicle selection? Check.
Faster, more streamlined loading times? Check.
Improved graphics and larger, more dynamic levels? Check.
Rumble and trophy support? Check.
More insane, physics-based crashes? Check.

This game is going to RULE!

The only game to me that will match motostorm interms of intense racing and fun would be Fuel IMO, if you never heard of or seen fuel go to youtube and search for it, comes out 2009 by the way.
