Actually, this lack of hype will probably work in Home's favor. If you're not hyped, there's not much to be disappointed about. Not saying that Home will be disappointing, but that it will not fall victim to hype like GTA IV did.

Sony have been talking about HOME since the PS2 first came out. that and the browser were features that the ps2 were suppose to have but then it became nothing. then it was move to the PS3 and was announced even before the PS3 launch so i don't know what are you talking about HOME being announced last year...

FACT: you did not hear about Home until Last year back in GDC 2007.

FACT#2: Sony didn't talk about how Home came to Fruition until after the Home Announcement back in 2007.

FACT#3: They Came up with the Idea about home for the PS2, but it was not possible because BING BING BING BING, you guessed it, the PS2 DID NOT had an HDD as Standard.

SO please do not pretend as if you heard about home back in 2003 or in 2004. You are not a Nostradamus to predict such a thing, you do not have a crystal ball either.

Yeah, they said on the Official Blog a couple of weeks ago that the open beta would release this Autumn. They usually don't say anything on the Official Blog unless they're certain. Winter starts December 21st I believe. I think it will be out by the end of November.

What is the point of being a "fanboy"? I just don't get it. I love games in general, and own all three consoles. I think it's close minded and just plain stupid for people to simply like one console or company, and then just badmouth the competition. There are positives to each console (even though I hardly ever play Wii haha) and it's competition and variety that make videogames great.

Yes, Jukkenn, basically yes. It is vaporware because it's not coming out in October like planned after the last 3 delays. Sony doesn't know what to do with Home. Ya know why? Cause it's junk. I'm in the beta and it's terrible. there is nothing to do and no reason to boot it up over your games 1st and foremost. Home offers up nothing in way of advantageous content. nothing. I have booted Home up 6 or 7 times for lengthy play sessions and boot up sessions and that was all I neded to know I wouldn't be booting home up 1st. No way. home is like e-mail, you know you have it. You know you'll check it when time permits, but days might pass before you do.

See what I mean?

The xbox 360 doesn't pull you out of a game or detour your playing one and place you inside another application. that is what makes live so accessible and successful. home is an application you use outside of the ps3. Do you know how many damn familes won't even know what it is or does?

It's cumbersome, guys. This isn't me just being negative for no reason. Home is a mess and anyone in the beta knows it! That's why Sony hasn't released it yet wake the fluck up!!! Don't you think if Home was a smooth transition it'd have been out last year when they said it would? Of course it would've. It's another year and it's already being pushed again and when it is released it will still be in beta!

These are warning signs guys. Nothing more nothing less. Home is asking too much of a gamer/consumer/new adopter to boot up and then un around looking for hot spots to boot your game up into, only after you wade trough 15 or 20 people's mindless blather. People who don't even use a mic.

So... It would be better for Sony to shut up in the future about stuff, and not announce it for a couple of times. At the beginning of 2007 Sony said Home would release Fall 2007. Then it would be the end of 2007. Then it would be Early 2008, Spring 2008, Fall 2008...

You see? I am not talking about a single game that is delayed a bit. We're talking here about a major service.

They may not release it before its ready/done. But they should shut their mouth more to be able to deliver when they say they will.

Like Microsoft does. They announce a totally new dash this E3 and will get it out as a Fall update.

Home = vaporware
Sony = BluRay player (only game on or over 9 out of 10 is cutscene after cutscene)
