you can access resistance 2 by preorder or qore. you can get in little big planet if you pay attention to who is giving away the code. They havent released any details on how to get in the killzone beta yet.

it wasnt just europe. Two weeks into owning the game, i spent over an hour one night trying to get connected to a game. The next day i traded it in to gamestop, haven't looked back. Id rather play Warhawk or RFOM any day.

I live in KS and was getting the same problem. I think it's crazy how they're going to keep pulling themselves into this whole with the PS3. It's only a matter of time before they pull a Valve and stop all PS3 developments for all their games. Activision is becoming a thing of the past for me now.

CoD4 was impressive and fun but died quickly after it began. I think the funny part is how he says, "MOST" betas are first party. MGO Beta was first party? Sony doesn't need to change how they do anything, they have many betas out all the time, it's companies like Activision and Capcom who don't care to take the time and polish their products with testing that makes me clench my fist in anger.

The only thing I want to do in this game is 1) Flamethrow 2) Shotgun 3) Snipe. Bring it on.

Sorry but there's a difference between a beta and a demo. Beta's aren't meant for deciding if someone will buy the game before it's released. They are specifically released to stress test online servers, online play or to catch any bugs prior to when it hits the global population.

But an Single/Multi player demo along the lines of BF:BC like you mentioned would certainly be welcome, but there's a big difference between a public demo and a closed beta.

Playing the game is still playing the game. Whether its beta or demo letting people sample your game has the same result. Putting the beta exclusively on one console will piss off people and possibly cost you a sale by making the other console owners feel snubbed.

1234, betas aren't used to sample. If you make a decision to buy a game or not from playing the beta, then you really don't know what a beta is for. Hell most game betas are laggy and buggy as hell, you should wait for a demo.

Depends how you look at it, betas are run to help eliminate potential problems. now I could say that maybe they think they have more problems with the 360 than PS3?

See you can spin things how ever you like, but looking at COD4 which didnt have a beta on the PS3 but still came out exactly the same as the 360.

They seem to prefer the 360 and PC when it a multiplatform game because the 360 is basically an old PC.

Betas are run to improve the quality of the over all product, not for fanboy bragging rights.

"What are the changes?" Well, the biggest change is probably the fact that it is taking place during WW2.. But, this time it's against the Japanese in the Pacific War. Perks, weapons, settings, and the like..

"Just to ask, so i know if i'm going to buy it or not" I don't know if I will or not yet either. Hopefully they release a playable demo on both Live and PSn.

I just can't believe they chose an old war again after having so much success w/COD4. I don't think anyone but fans of the series were looking forward to this game and some of those fans have jumped ship because this seems like a step backward. I decided to not pick this up when they announced that it would be a throwback. There are only a handfull of multiplats I want anyway. I'm tierd of playing subpar 360 ports.

You've got to admit that when Treyarch was first announced as being the developers for this COD, a lot of excitement from both sides shot way down. I hope I get into the beta, though. I'm not too sure yet that I want another WWII shooter, even if it has the same multiplayer elements as COD4. I'll probably prefer to play Gears 2 or Resistance 2 around that time anyway.

EXACTLY when it was first announced. But already since some months we've seen promissing footage, we've read good previews of Treyarch using the COD4 in an optimal way and bringing something this time around they've been working 2 years on where COD3 took them less then a year.

So it went from just a minor sequel to a worthy next installment of COD.

Agreed. I've had hands on time with both games and I'd say Resistance 2 is the better buy. However....Call of Duty World at War was a great game. It's like COD4 1.5. It ups the graphics, adds new features and perks, etc.

If you have enough money this holiday season for two fps titles, I'd recommend this as the second one to pick up.

WipeOut - a ps1 game with shinier objects, barely running at 1080p half the time, upscaled the other half

Little Big Planet - kiddie sack ball game for running left and right for no reason and for expressive your homosexuality with penises

Resistance 2 - 99% sure to follow in the footsteps of its flopped predecessor, hyped by altered "in-game" shots

Metal Gear Solid 4 - the big movie, hyped hyped and more hyped, out and already forgotten, sold an extra 10 systems

PlayStation Home - out in 2020 and will be a cult favorite with all the myspace emo dorks, for them to hang out in their virtual apartments and wait for BS3 games to come out just like in real life
