@dro: Criterion prefer PS3 thats why.
go on disagree with me. google Criterion and how many times they mention PS3 or uses PS3 when showing Burnout Paradise.
Another thing is PS3 is the lead platform.
edit: seriously my comment is nothing to do with PSN but the game itself. i dont know why i comment it.

Bubbles for you, sir!
If you already have it on Blu-Ray...no point otherwise if you want to get it at a cheap price but cant afford the Blu-Ray verison somewhat, get this!
Either way, if you dont have Paradise, you'll love it when you do get it (If you get it which I advise you to considering the amount of free DLC you get in the game is amazing)

I wonder if this is just for the US Store or if it'll be on the EU Store too.
It also seems trophy support must be coming in the next few days/weeks because it's included in the list of features the PSN download will have.

It does indeed seem that way. Also this quote from the same posting.
"Starting the game will then immediately trigger the download of all our updates, including the recent Cagney Pack and Burnout Bikes. A pack delivering PS3 Trophy Support will be released imminently and included for free."
Makes it sound like we could get the trophy update anytime between now and the psn update thursday.

12 - OMGOODNESS!!! this is just one awesome week for PSN
the best in awhile... Burnout and wipeout, I hope they also bring Black 2 to PSN... this is just awesome,
And then the competition say digital download is the wave of the futture but they cant seem to do it like this...
yep the PSN is becoming much better than the competition and it's showing. i want more third party devs to start putting full games online that arent small arcade games, that have a retail disc production value to them...
Koei, EA/Criterion, and Namco/bandai are on board, bring on Capcom, square, digital extremes and all the other devs out there, they need to start doing this so they can bring cash in without royalty fees of blu ray and that way they avoid the resale of their software from EB/Gamestop

That's a fair point really, maybe Sony are looking at covering all the bases.
As far as the game goes, i've played it and had some fun but i won't get it again, i will be buying Wipeout HD though, that's a given.

Yeah, I wish that EA would bring back BLACK and come out with BLACK 2 or something. BLACK was one of my most favorite FPS games on the PS2 even though it was short as hell...but that game definantly pushed the PS2 when it came to graphics though.

...how much it is cause once you buy it there are no refunds or exchanges. I really wish Sony would start some sort of credit trading scheme so if you don't like the game you can trade it for a discount against another PSN title.

Here's a tip for Criterion. How would it be for existing Burnout customers to be able to download that for free (or purchase it for free) and let them play the game without disk in the drive. Well, yeah, I guess, then people would sell their disks, though. Well, they could then exclude the disk from updates.
I prefer the disk, but I am also lazy. If I could run it without a disk that would be convenient. Would be cool if they could find a solution for that somehow.

It'll be $29.99 by the way. Great price when you think about all the free updates they've added since the game was first released months ago. Burnout Paradise is a very addictive game and the graphics still hold up to this day. Everything running at 60 frames per second too. You simply cannot go wrong. Support Criterion and maybe they'll bring us Black 2, leading on PS3 again.

6 - PSN Sucks !
so now i am guessing the fanboys will rave the downloadable content is awesome as hell cause you can do it on the PS3 right when we have been saying all along that disc based content's days are limited which is why the Blu-Ray thing doesn't really matter that much. Hell sales of Blu-Ray disc have not even been something to brag about since they "won" the supposed war. Anyways praise your console as you always do while the people who own a 360 will say that its not about the brand but more about the features. This generation is going to the 360 so most of us will stay right where we are at and if Sony decided to bring their A-Game in the next generation then maybe you will see a shift then. The point of this post is to say don't praise what you have been bashin for the past year now that you have some games fully downloadable. Now you get to enjoy the limitations of DRM and the problems that come with that whole experience. Enjoy!
