For me that was the most exciting part of LBP I really wanted to play other peoples boards because I'm sure mine will suck...

And with so many creative people on the net, it's just something I was really looking forward too, and hoping to check out right out the box...
(because they said they would have a closed beta that would have the best of those boards added to the final game for download at launch)

This is not even a news. They said during E3 that it may not be ready for launch. And guess what it's still not ready.

Worst case, you do part of the level, then give it to your friend who's the only one in the world who can make a big wheel, who then pass it to your second friend who happen to be the only one in the world who can make a red cube in fire. Then, they pass it back to you and you put the finish flag on. A little bit longer, but hey, job will get done anyway even if you cannot make big wheels and red cube yourself.

The biggest concern about LBP is the fact that most levels could be too short. So how many people do you really need to make a short level anyway?? I agree that it should be extremely fun to build a level with online friends, but currently, it's feasible with your friends sitting beside you. If you want to create mayhem, you can still do it.

So, let see:
First, play all levels included with the game
Second, play the best levels those beta testers will have made
Third, start making your own level
Fourth, make a few levels with your friends in-house and have a good laugh.
And then, and only then, hope that the patch is there.

Besides I wouldn't want my friends to see the levels I create until they are done. What sense does it make to create a level with my friends and then turn around and play those same levels with them that they just helped to create.

TRUE it would be fun to watch my pals die as we test new level designs etc and haggle over what should be placed where and how, but this give me a chance to get a feel for the game before I invite people into my LBP world :)

The game is also 4 players online and off line. Thus beating Mario at his own game of superb platforming with multiple people

Online create, quite simply, is the ability to use the create side of the game in an online multiplayer fashion.

So I can still share my levels?
Absolutely. All of the sharing features of the game are up and running.

Yes, both online and offline multiplayer (or any combination of the two) for playing through the story, or any downloaded levels.

And I can still create levels with my friends offline?
Totally. Up to 4 players can work together on a single PS3 to create levels. Also, you can still work collaboratively with friends to build levels by exchanging them through the share portion of the game.

From my perspective, which you can take or leave, it is well worth getting some practise in with the create side of the game before trying to use it in a multiplayer fashion as it can be somewhat frustrating to get things done if everyone you're working with is still getting used to all the functions. While it's not ideal to have to wait for this feature to be released, it might actually be beneficial to creators until it happens as you'll be able to work out the tools entirely, and figure out how best to work with others on your projects

That would be you Patch and Crabs. The Offline Create mode is still in the game at launch, meaning you can still create levels, even with friends, offline. We can still upload those levels, and we can still play user created levels. The only thing we can't do at launch (but probably very soon thereafter) is enter create mode online, which I did not even realize could be done until now. That is hardly the biggest feature.

SONY always think about the gamers' needs and they constantly push themselves to provide the best. And they do.

1. FREE online play - with HOME, Life with PS, constantly revolving PSN store, etc. What more can gamers ask for - ALL these are given FREE and they're not cheap to develop from scratch for a new system. All M$ did was to shove half-baked 3rd party Second Life app down your throat you have no choice but to accept and pay for it. M$ does not even take the lead to develop it, that's why it's sh!tfull of bugs.

2. Co-developed and took the lead to bring Blu-Ray to the consumers. Of course, they want to earn money but part of the reason as stated by SONY is because they know some slower countries do not have fast ADSL, so, giving them big storage helps to alleviate their pains to download. Ppl with limited internet connection will definitely understand this point. Have M$ thought about this?!

3. Bundle important true next-gen console features in 1 single box without having ppl to pay and pay. You can argue many don't need this and that but if you compare features neck-to-neck, PS3 is the most cost-effective system.

4. Always pushing the envelope by taking the lead in making ground-breaking titles. SONY has ONE OF THE MOST if not THE MOST ground-breaking titles of every genre - RPG, driving, family, puzzle, sports, action, FPS, MMO, etc. This is what I truly like about SONY. Never Say Die and KEEP Innovating (NOT copying like M$)!

5. Every comp has that PR BS! M$ and Nintendo has their fair share as well. But SONY has come a long way and looking not-so-distant forward, we can see R2, Motorstorm 2, GT5, GOW3, HOME, LBP, KZ2, MAG, Heavy Rain, Naruto: Ninja Storm, White Knight Chronicles, Eternal Sonata, etc., SONY has indeed done a lot of homework and preparation. No other console could match SONY's line-up and that's for sure. And yes, that includes M$!

Yes, they are slow. As a PS3 owner, sometimes I feel the frustration but as I ponder about the above points and look at what they're trying to do, I understand I cannot ask for more.

SONY can choose to act selfish like M$ and they can still make tonnes of $$$ and then quit half-way like M$. But they did not, moreover, we see they are constantly revealing good stuffs for the gamers. Like I said, SONY doesn't have to give us HOME with super-fancy stuffs, Life with PS or even FREE online play but this is what they wanted to and we should be grateful.

All M$ knows is keep demanding for $$$ for their broken system. M$ refuse to fix their hardware and they make tonnes of $$$ by screwing consumers with *so-called* exclusives that eventually they released on PC and make more tonnes of $$$. If you still want to support such a company, I rest my case.......T_T
