You obviously dont know the concept here. FF games are on its own unique. The world, the monsters, the story, the characters. How your character evolve, how to do battles and what not.

Some things are persistant:
* The quality of a great company's hard work.
* Aeons/Espers - Summonings
* Overdrives/Limits/Quickens - A boosted attack form per character.
* Chocobos - Birds, ostrich sized, to ride/fly

Maybe some more I've forgot. Just gets upset when I hear people barking like this is another Quake or something.

because every FF game has always been good. track history is a huge hint. Square or SquareEnix developed lots of RPGs, but the FF series will always be their most invested franchise ever.

How many sony fans would really care about blu-ray if it wasn't put into the PS3. Sony could have made a great console if they would have focused on gamming instead of blu-ray. But like sony says, they can sell their console without any games.

We were told that the potential for the PS3 would show at launch. now we have to wait till next year.

"Just wait and see", the PS3 is going to prove its worth. How long have you guys been saying that now, 2 years? And what causes statements like these to be said are the Sony execs releasing propaganda to hype the PS3 more than it is capable of. "Motorstorm in 1080p and 60fps, Resistance only uses 25% of PS3 potential." How about you wait and see that the system is not going to be the giant killer that you all hoped for. The fact is the PS3 is overpriced as it is, and not everyone has a HDTV that can take advantage of the bluray. Face it, this generation of gaming is a lot more competitive than last. Nintendo Wii is kicking everyone's ass, and Sony is in a position they are not used to.

Final Fantasy is the best in my opinion, and one of the best series considered by others and the industry. This game will be great. Besides, I like how Square-Enix is generally good with their release dates. They didn't say mid 07 or end of 07, they're saying sometime in 08. It'll be well worth the wait. PS3 owners will have Motostorm, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Lair, GTA IV(360 will too) and MGS4 in the meantime. It'll be a good year for the PS3.

We've got plenty of titles coming out this year, so it's better for them not to rush. After seeing what they did with FFXII, I can't wait to see how XIII's shaping up. North America is supposed to get this title in early 2008 anyway, right? (due to translation delay)

Issue 115 of PSM, bottom of page 48 has two screenshots. One is a shot straight from Advent Children. The other is a running of the Final Fantasy VII Technical Demo (the one used to show off the PS) using the White Engine being developed by Square-Enix. It looks damn near identical in quality. Now it was just running a demo with no gameplay, but they've been developing this Engine since they had the Dev Kits. If any game will give Gears of War a run for its money graphically, this will be the one. Regardless of the graphics though, I just cant wait to play it through for the story.
