I hate when games use the same engine because they all end up with similar art styles which annoys the crap out of me. Though I'm sympathetic to the fact that it costs a lot of cash to produce these engines.

Either way, game is looking nice at least.

agreed...but this seemed pretty different from CoD 4, at least what the video showed...with some new tech, especially the refractive water, which you can see when bond is standing in the casino pool or whatever...it wasn't the most insane water ever, but it was a whole hell of a lot better than CoD 4's lame water effects...

this isn't a game I am terribly excited about anyway, in which case standard middleware doesn't bother me...but source and UE3 are completely played out for me...left 4 dead looks like a game from 2004...I am sure it will completely kick ass, but I can't help but wonder if that gameplay with a true current gen engine could be unstoppable...

you can say it all you want...graphics < gameplay...but when you already have great gameplay, better graphics never hurt...

Alot of times yes, but not always. I mean looking at Mirror's Edge you would have no idea that is Unreal Engine 3, the same engine that powered Gears of War. Mirror's Edge is so bright and colorful, while Gears of War is dark, dreary, gritty, and shiny.

I'm not sure if anyone cares about james bond anymore? The CoD engine is a cool edition, but does anyone play on spending their money on a 007 game, when there are alot of other great games coming out?

I loved the last James Bond movie so I am excited about this game. There are a couple of gameplay videos on IGN.com. Heres the link: http://media.ps3.ign.com/me...

The CoD4 engine is probably the best engine out right now. This game is like a cross between CoD4 and Rainbow Six Vegas with a Bond storyline....sounds awesome to me.

when you take cover you switch to 3rd person...is that what you meant?...you can still 'aim' in first person view...
