I didn't see all this "it's broken" stuff for other games like Warhawk beta testing and that game was way worse with it booting you off almost every 3-4mins and lagged like crazy the first 2 weeks.

Gaming editorial pieces aren't about providing info anymore. It's one huge fanboy irritant game just to win the "clicks-on-our-website " battle.

Yeah Id agree with that, my first game I went running in like I tend to do in most shooters (COD, Gears, Warhawk etc) but quickly realised (after repeated pwnage) that isn't how SOCOM need to be played. It much more tactical and squad based, leaning more towards CS:S in it's "realism". It's actually rather refreshing to play a shooter that you need to take your time with, an use a more patient approach.

I tried to play last night and wasn't having very many problems with the game. However I was having a heck of a time trying to find a match b/c apparently half the people playing/trying to join games don't know how to 'green up' by hitting the start button. I seriously sat in one game lobby for 15 minutes waiting for a 32 man game before I just left b/c people wouldn't green up. Talk about annoying.

The game itself though, I had a blast.

Just b/c you don't like the game doesn't make it average. It is way better than MG4 online for realism and gameplay and I've never like Rainbow 6 games. And who's picking on the ps3? the article isn't. No-one here is? in fact if you read the article it tells you that the server will be down and what changes will be made.
It's informing people so everyone who tries to play and can't get online for that brief time will know why and not thing it'll be a common occurrence.

On a serious note as long as they find the bugs they can solve them and ps3 owners will have a good game and not another haze or lair.

The 360 has several flaws, all of which could have been fixed if Microsoft wasn't so arrogant. I refuse to pick up a 360 because it's cheap hardware and it's unreliable. The PS3 has flaws as well but not as many flaws as the 360.

Microsoft extended the warranty only because they didn't want their asses sued by the people who went through five, six, and even SEVEN 360's in a row. Hell, I heard of a guy who went through FIFTEEN 360's and he's on his sixteenth one because it keeps breaking. How do you explain all of that?

First of all, PS2's did not break down as badly as 360's. Give me a percentage of which PS2's were breaking from left to right. From what I've seen, Sony fixed the problem otherwise the PS2 wouldn't be alive today. My uncle has a PS2 that still works until this day and he had it for at least six or seven years now. I have a PS1 that *still* works. You just had bad luck.

And those exploding batteries happened a long time ago. Did I say that Sony is so damn perfect with hardware that *nothing* can go wrong? No. I implied that Sony's hardware is excellent enough, otherwise it wouldn't have been on the damn market.

And you should learn how to read. I will not touch a 360 until the hardware is safe enough to use. Once again, there are some games I like on the 360 and the online service is good. However, I will not deal with faulty hardware or pay for something that should be free. That is my preference and I stand by it. When Microsoft stops lying to the public about the RROD and actually fixes it, I will pick up one for the games I want.

But for now, I will only own a PS1, a PS2, a Wii, a PC, and a PS3.

The spreading of lies?! What kind of lies did I spread? The RROD is a lie then? Disk scratching is a lie? The disk melting into the system is a lie? The fact that Microsoft used a warranty to sweep this problem under the rug is a lie? Please...what lies have I spread? Why are you so desperate to defend this corporation? Don't you see that they're hated throughout the entire world?

So...the faulty issues with the 360 is a lie and I was imagining that when I decided on my next gen console.

You seem to ignore the fact that I have praised the 360 on a few occassions-there are some games that I like and the online service is good. That shows that I'm not completely against the system. Just because I don't kiss Microsoft's ass, doesn't mean I hate the 360 with a burning passion.

Most of you 360 fanboys hate the PS3 so much that you never acknowledge the fact that it does have good games and it's not just a cheap bluray on the market.

It's just sickening to the core.

I don't come on EVERY SINGLE 360 thread. I don't come on them and scream 'GEARS SUCKS ASS!' or 'HALO SUCKS ASS!'. I don't like those games and reserve the right not to like them because they're not my cup of tea.

Freezing and bricking?

Um...my PS3 had a few minor freezes but it was nothing to freak out over because computers freeze the same way and you have to restart them. And you want to talk about bricking consoles? How about those 360's that had the RROD? I read on a PS3 forum that a guy was showing a friend how the 360 was so superior to the PS3 so he plugged in the 360. The game froze on his system, and when he tried to restart everything, it received the RROD instantly.

Until the problems are fixed completely and I no longer hear about the RROD, I will get a 360. But for now, I prefer to be a very cautious consumer. If my PS3 or Wii acted the same way, I would replace them twice and if they act up beyond that, I would get something else. I like knowing that I spent my money on something that will last and not break on me. In my opinion, a 360 is not worth getting if you keep hearing about these types of reports.

I didn't ask you to believe me. Of course you wouldn't because you don't know me that well. I was not playing an innocent card as you so put it. I never even used that as an excuse. I gave you a snippet of my life's story because you're judging me unfairly. You're taking my comments way too seriously and it's a bit worrisome. If you didn't like what I had to say about your system, then the ignore button is not a click away.

Again, falsities? Please point out these falsities? Most of you 360 fanboys do the same exact thing. You claim the PS3 is just a cheap bluray player. You claim that the PS3 will never get AAA games. You make fun of games like Resistance 2, saying that the first one flopped when it did good for a launch title. You called Little Big Planet a kid's game when you have games on your system that's suitable for children. You called Lair and Haze flops when you have a game like Too Human that didn't exceed expectations. You claimed that Home was a fad and that it'll never come out just because Sony stumbled along the way.

At least we PS3 owners can admit our system has faults. 360 fanboys, on the other hand can never admit that their system has faults so when their system isn't doing so good and PS3 owners point that out, they use this defense mechanism, as if nothing can go wrong with their system.

I can admit that Sony has made several mistakes back in 2007 and they disappointed me as a Playstation fan. But they're coming around very well and that is nothing short of amazing. The PS3 is the best system I ever owned and I can't wait for all the games that are coming out soon.

They're making a comeback, whether you like it or not.
