Q Entertainment's games currently on on XBLA, Geometry Wars gone multiplatform and Braid on PSN = No need for XBLA imo.

Everything else (not retro ports) would follow suit, after that.

I'm still awaiting Hogs of War and Crash Bash to play on the go and PS3 with mates, GTA2 would be nice too. Driver was a fine addition recently.
I know people are killing for MGS, but y'know, that's not really my cup of tea.
They should get permission to put the Net Yaroze games up too,(Demo disk 42 OPM:UK) some of those were awesome.

xbox live will let almost any game be uploaded to it, they provide more tools to the devs, and they are provided xbox live service for online play. However, the games on psn outclass xbox live at the end of the day.

As the devs don't have to deal with space limitations and they know every PS3 is capable of getting on the internet for free. Every PS3 also has a harddrive to store larger titles meaning your audience with that storage capability is much larger.

For gamers, it's an easy win as the titles on the PSN are much more varied and original than what the 360 offers. There are no R&C's, no downloadable Burnout or Warhawk, none of that big stuff on 360.

1. Exactly. it should have been there from the start. This is just sad for gamers that want to have point from every game they own. They are just only save at the 360.

Exactly, you get that, with 3 x 1 month XBL gold. But hey, the games also don't come out of the box for the full experience.

Even worse then:

Composite cable in PS3 package. No complete HD experience
No headset in PS3 package. No complete online experience out of the box

For those 40GB PS3 owners: have to upgrade HDD allmost immediately with all those game installs forced, so forking 100 bucks for another HDD

If we focus on the service itself, PSN just can't keep up period.

You pay for a good game, which is invested in the game. If you pay for your online service, it gets invested in making it better. For Sony no money is earned there, so they have less FTE to work on it.

It'll keep limping behind XBL all through this gens life cycle. Lets hope Sony learns and improves with the PS4

If I wanted a headset, an average Bluetooth one.
Cables, big deal. HDMI cables are dirt cheap and they don't really affect the gaming experience.

Its not like I have to pay for those every damn year. Also, PSN is never suddenly going to conveniently run out on me like an electric meter and I don't worry about money being wasted when not playing online with PSN.

You fail to understand that you can pick up Bluetooth and USB gadgets around the house that randomly work in the PS3? I haven't had to pick up one peripheral for the PS3 since I purchased the machine last summer, the same time as my 360 I have approximately, WITHOUT using XBL spent £80 just for pepherials alone.

Funnily, one (the 360 wireless adapter) to let me ACCESS XBL and at that, only Silver membership which doesn't even allow me to play my purchased XBLA games online!
Before that I had to buy a Play and Charge kit, just to make sure my damn AA batteries didn't run out during gameplay and ruin a gaming experience because I had to run across the shops.

The trial of XBL didn't impress me at all. I don't see the big deal, you're only paying that amount of money for a tiny insignificant amount of features which if the console truly wanted to bring the world together hence the name; The 360...surely Microsoft might of put an emphasis on actually encouraging people to game together, y'know, like; NOT SUBSCRIBING TO JUST PLAY WITH FRIENDS IN SHORT SESSIONS.

There is nothing WRONG with PSN. The only reason XBL is better is because YOU PAY FOR IT. If you didn't and the many others that pay for it around the globe didn't either, it would be crap and ad based.

Take this;
PSN is a 'no frills' tin of Baked Beans- Tastes the same but cheaper.

XBL is a can of Heinz baked beans- Only better because of the familiar brand behind it and you have to pay more for the packaging.

Do you expect to pay more for XBL and it to be crap?
No you don't.

But judging by the twisted logic of you die hard 360 fanboys;
you would think its the greatest thing in the world having Coca-Cola ads spread between every online session.

Its (XBL) better because you pay for it and I can't personally be arsed doing that, as I can save a good amount of money over a year and play 95% of the same titles on a free service, straight out the box if I have a internet connection, of course.

Unlike others I can sacrifice not playing Halo or Gears of War (which I cannot stand) but I have OTHER GAMES instead.

But its FREE! I don't expect it to be the best thing in the world and Sony are moving along perfectly, why do you think we've got in-game music, trophies, simultaneous worldwide releases on PSN stores and constantly tell us every little detail of progress in the last few months?

Again, PSN is free and hits the spot. For a quick online game, we're not all glued into killing people we don't know 24/7.

Notice no PS3 users actively complain about the service, because its fine for what it is and growing all the time and we all know XBL users actually want it for free, why is that now the biggest complaint relating to the 360 for consumers?
