Socom Confrontation is Live

GameXtract writes "Reports across the Playstation forums are indicating that Playstation 3 users are starting to receive their beta codes, and are able to start downloading the game. Not only are people furiously starting to download the beta, but some who received a code are choosing to trade it in exchange for the Home beta. Looks like we got some beta trading going on here. 1.7 - i just got done playing for about 2 hours

i'm in rank 1,600 in kills in cod4 so i've been playing that a lot... and i have to admit... Socom confrontation is really really good... i was talking to a socom vet and he said that a lot of things have changed but he still likes it,

I personally like it a lot... the controllers get some good 15 mins to get very familiar with... make sure you look at the lay out.. and try to stick to your team.. be aware of where they're at..

hold L2 to talk... took me 4 ever to figure that out

but overall i give it a 9 for now.. it can go down but more likely it will go up for me...

The controllers are very tight.. i love them, but there is some glitches still... is beta of course..

best thing just go in there and get the feeling of it... don't get frustrated if you get killed too fast.. i started owning around my 6th round which was about 40 mins after i first started

I got a SOCOM beta key from eurogamer and i have to say it is a very good game. The comms are excellent and the gameplay is very good. Although the controls are different to most FPS's but they can be edited slightly!! Just like to say it is a good buy for the Future

Ok the framrate is not stable at all, and the lag is atrocious. Never played a socom before and i will never play one again. Dreadful game, controls are awful and not tight. Graphics are supar, i just really dont get it.

would you trade in a beta for a game to get into something that is eventually going to come out this year for free. Socom you can play for a month then you have to buy it. I would never trade my beta key to get into home.

1.) Socom beta gets three people in....so using it once for yourself, and then trading one or the other two access for Home is not a bad choice. 2.) We know the release date of Socom, we have no clue about Home. So 2, 3, or even 4 months of early access to Home might be worth a simple month's worth of the Socom beta. 3.)Perhaps they never wanted the socom beta to begin with and was doing this simply to exchange for Home.

5 - Man you guys have sorry internet connections...

I have never had problems download demos or anything from the PSN network...but hey I have my stuff set up on a 802.11N network (I know the PS3 is only G) and I have a 15 Meg connection with 2 meg up and the new roadrunner turbo boost...so i get like 25 megs down at times.

All the QORE people will get into socom next week.....Does anybody know if Socom can be launched from HOME?

The MGS4 incident was'nt Sony.That was the fault of Konami because MGO is a seperate entity from PSN.The firmware update was the fault of Sony though.
