Does New PS3 Game Swipe From 'Metal Gear Solid'?

MTV Multiplayer writes: "When I was writing our round-up of weekly box art reviews yesterday, I couldn't help but notice that the protagonist from stealth-horror hybrid "Vampire Rain: Altered Species" looks just like the lead character from a different PlayStation title. Could it be a mere coincidence? Or did the developers of "Vampire Rain" have "Metal Gear Solid" on the brain?"

9 - The game is a multi-platform game not a 'New PS3 Game'...
First of all, nobody should ever trust a person named Tracey John (really two first names?). Also, what is with the 1998 Solid Snake along side Loyd. Isn't there enough MGS3 or MGS4 images of Snake to go around?

Secondly, this game is not developed or handled by Sony in anyway. Vampire Rain is a 3rd party multi-platform game that is, at best, terrible. If there are any questions about the dubious theft of Solid Snakes image, they should be directed at the developer.

I think most, if not all, know this or atleast should. Somethings are worth repeating, this person [?] should not be blogging about games, nor should anyone from NG4 posted this 'swipe' journalism.

That the John character will try to mimic Snake's personality, but speak like Sam Fisher, with Gabe's (Syphon Filter) "what should I do now" approach to the gameplay.

The MOST exciting thing about the game is it's name.

Kurt Russell's greatest film character and one of my favourite films of all time and directed by John Carpenter.
Also why Snake calls himself 'Plissken' in MGS2.
