MM wont want it coz they just became independent, they used to work for some other company, but that english guy left and started MM.. also doubt that MM will make this multi-platform since Sony was the only one that actually believed in their game.. they have been to Nintendo but they passed

You obviously don't know how Sony treats their first party devs. They'd be independent and suddenly have some deeper pockets.

...will be the the absolutely and unequivocally cheapest IP for developers to create add on content. It's a completely hands on application tool that will not require an overly engaging development process and quite honestly only require a little creativity with respect to level generation. The thing they will probably spend the most time on besides level generation is custom sack boys. This game offers a lot for a little bit of work from a developers standpoint.

Don't forget Fallout 3 and 8.1 the first Gears of War title was GOTY. So don't underestimate that IP.

So, in this day and age, you would still give Gears Of War 1 GOTY title? Yeah that's what I thought, it was GOTY because the lack of games on the 360 in 2006 and it was the shiniest game out. If you say gameplay was the main factor in the GOTY title then Kill.Switch should have been GOTY. Yeah...I thought so.

Just imagine this could be a new advertising venue for movies, games, music, etc. A New Release Blu-ray might have a LBP level (Like a transformers level with optimus prime SB) on it or like how the Killzone 2 level was made. This could be a viral marketing campaign for a myriad of things. This should be interesting on how this pans out. It all depends on how Sony and MM handle LBP either it can be the killer app that moves serious hardware or it might be the next Okami, brilliant yet underplayed.
