'Tekken 6 : Bloodline Rebellion' Revealed

An upgraded version of the newest game in the Tekken series (which didn't yet hit the consoles) was announced, and will officially be exposed in the upcoming Amusement Show in Tokyo, Japan from Septmer 18th to 20th! It's called Tekken 6 : Bloodline Rebellion.

You're not much into fighting, are you? Tekken the best fighting game ever!?
Even excluding the best fighters of all time (Arcade gods known as Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2), the Tekken isn't the best among 3D fighters. Original Soul Calibur is still the best of the modern / 3D fighters and then, there is the upcoming Street Fighter 4.

Excuse you MK? It's all a matter of opinion but I too believe that Tekken is the best fighting series ever. And I'm of the old school and am a big fighting game fan.

TheTwelve, true on the opinions. For me, Tekken is one of the worst fighting series. Among the 3D / modern ones, only Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter are good ones to me as well as MK since I'm a fanboy :D

I won't get into an argument on what games are the best fighting series, as I'd say I'm relatively new to the scene of gaming, but of the fighting games I've played, I've found Tekken to be pretty easy to get into. (Probably because of my countless hours playing Tekken: Dark Resurrection on my psp.)

the only problem I find with your argument on the 'new' gameplay, is that a fighting game, or any game in a particular genre, has to keep some of the core mechanics in the game, otherwise it sort of messes up the way older fans of the series experience the game, even if it is for the better, but I've found the controls in Tekken to be a fine piece of work. But perhaps I misinterpreted what you posted?

Tekken was the best 3-D fighting series. But it never got better after Tekken 3, in my opinion. I think that Soul Calibur, Namco's other baby, is a better fighter. I hope that Tekken 6 comes back and kicks the series up a notch.

Street Fighter = Best 2D fighter.

Tekken = Best 3D fighter.

@ ReBurn:

Soul Calibur is too button-smashy and somewhat cheap.
In Tekken, it's nearly impossible to pull of combos without knowing what the right button combinations are.
And the story in Tekken, if followed, is more interesting as well.

Tekken 3 was the best! i loved that little dinosaur that farted! lol, and the beach volleyball game thingy, after tekken 3 things just kinda went kinda crap i spent endless hours on tekken 4 with my brother though, i only ever got one combo right the Jin one which i messed up a few times.

Well the game is already build for the PS3 hardware. Hell even the arcade version is sort of running on a PS3 you would say so there hasn't been any news regarding a multiplatform release so the safe bet is getting a PS3 for it since it's at least 100% obvious of it coming to it.

If not then just wait for a confirmation. ;)

I learned that while I was trying to send a text message to a buddy. Its not fun at all. I even heard the new controllers werent that better. Man that really sucks dude, cause I know alot of people who only have a 360 and love Tekken. BTW, Im a Sony Fanboy, but I must say I that I hope you 360 guys get this game. Its the best fighting game in the biz. I seen some gameplay from it on @ the bitbag.com and I was just amazed. I thought I out grown fighting games, cause they were so repetitive for years, but that video proved me wrong. Man Its been years since I wanted a fighting game. I tried the demo to Soul Caliber and was really unimpressed.

I thought T3 was a big improvement over 2. Matter of fact Tekken gets better everytime they drop a new one IMO. I just want the console version of T6 to have Tekken Tag Tournament mode. One of my favorite Tekken games was TTT the other favorites are T5DR Online/T5DR PSP.

They need to put Unknown as an unlockable in T6:BR

Tekken comes to the bottom of my best fighting games. It has never appealed me and I think never will, it's overall gameplay just seems dry to me. Now Mortal Kombat is one game that's more enjoyable. Then comes Soul Calibur and Street Fighter, frankly I didn't even like SF but it stands high above Tekken.

ok,, the new street fighter might almost be as good as tekken 6,, but the new tekken is just so freakin realistic looking, and the gameplay looks so fluid. The animations are almost CG looking. I bet anyone that it scores as good if not better then SF. Also, I tried the demo of soul caliber, and it sucked. True Story.

I don't know, I think there's a 50/50 chance that it will stay on the PS3. 50% chance staying would be because Namco doesn't seem to mind having exclusives for one console. Look at Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm for PS3, or Tales of Vesperia for the 360. Then again, specifically Tekken being Multiplatform would benefit them more anyway. Although it's always been a playstation game, but nothing is stopping that possibility.

I don't like this game much. Why? Hardcore juggling. Soul caliber is way better at keeping that to minimum. To me tekken isn't something I challenge a friend to because you can basicly combo someone to death at the begin of a match(It isn't hard). SC may seem cheap to the unskilled but in SC there is no way to juggle someone down to ~10%-15% health like you can in tekken if you catch em' right. But with all that said, virtual fighter IS the best fighting 3D series. Button mashing will get you NOTHING in VF.

Always.and still is.but Im a beat em up fan,but MK1 and Street Fighter was what got me hooked.Since,Tekken,Soul Blade/SC1-4 is what drives me.The MK and and SF franchises lost appeal with me,but Tekken,Soul Calibur and DOA is my beat em ups of choice.Thing is. .I dont have a PS3 yet,and will buy one if tekken 6 doesnt hit the 360.

if street fighter 2 is so hot why don't you still play it... cause its outdated. In the early 90's it was good, now its not so is Mortal Kombat. Street fighter 4 is a rehash of street fighter 2 minus some key characters (zangief, dee jay etc) and i thought bison was dead?? Tekken is better due to the fighting system being based around option, low kick, sweep, quick jab, hard kick, stun with a follow up grab, mini combo ,kick em while their down, i can go on and on. where as street fighter ur options is limited to 3 types of punches and kicks, and u cant even do combos without getting the same result. tekken also takes more skill to master. But the main thing here is if u like street fighter thats cool and all but it sucks compared to game like tekken and soul calibur.

man I cant wait! I play tekken 5 DR all the time, that game is sick but tekken 6 wooo! I heard the arcade version is great(as usual) but man I just cant wait SC4 will hold me over till then I guess. @MK_Red UMK3 is by far the best mortal kombat game period MK2 is good but its really slow and theres no combo system, it really takes no skill to be good on MK2 that why UMK3 is the best because if you dont know any combos you will get wooped.
