we were all like "GOTY will be MGS4, GTA4, Gears 2 or Fallout 3" at the start of the year.....

....b0llocks to that, the game really worthy of the award is LBP for its outstanding innovation, use of the PS3's capabilities, accessebility and prospects for great challenge for the creative types

I must say this game looks very fun to play.. GOTY? Well very possible especially for platformer lovers out there. Which it seems have grown in popularity due to the complete lack of platformers lately. Helping many gamers to crave them and even be judged higher than other games(Braid). I guess the old mario games being gone has really left an empty spot in alot of us.. This may be the reason i finally buy a PS3. I most definitely will get some play time with it at my friends house to test before i purchase.. I do think its funny how some of these fanboys in here think this game is the next coming of Christ though. Would i love playing my 360 any less hell NO, but i would like to see some more good PS3 games. Very good looking game indeed..

Time trials with global, continental, national leaderboards for every single level. Media Molecule would have to make some serious boo-boos for these kind of features not to create a massive competitive community.

On top of these leaderboards there would be leaderboards which charted how many records in time trials everyone had. So '#1' would be on top with 22 time records, just above '#2' who has 20. That is brilliant. Please say it's included.

Emphasis on community functionality - I hope they're carrying that out.

..I'm going to be pleasently suprised when this game comes out? I've been following LittleBigPlanet for quite some time, and I still don't understand where GOTY comes in every time the game is mentioned. I like old school platformers. I like the idea of user generated levels. This game looks fun, but I'm not counting down the days until the release date.
