both games are looking fantastic, and both will be in my library, as well as Agito XIII on my PSP.

the fact that the game is being developed on the PS3 should ease a lot of the upset PS3 fanboys concerns about the quality of the title.

i don't know anything about the 360 version, and as of this moment, the title doesn't exist as anything more than a name for MS, so i can't make any statements about how it's going to look on the 360 in the end, or how Square-Enix is going to work within the 360's limitations to get FFXIII to the quality they need it to be.

it was designed originally with the Cell/RSX, and Blu Ray in mind (there was an article i read ages ago, maybe on ign, where they said that originally, FFXIII was supposed to be another PS2 game, but after seeing that FFVII tech demo for the PS3 ages ago, they started over from scratch and began to design it for the PS3 instead), and it's generally easier to build on PS3 first, then port to 360, so i'm sure both games will be quality, but there's no denying that the lack of standard HDD, and larger capacity disc on the 360 is a hurdle they will spend quite a bit of development time trying to overcome.

i'm excited about both, but the darker tone in Versus has me intrigued.

i mean, i kind of know what to expect from FFXIII proper, and i'm imagining something along the lines of FFXII, but Versus is a mystery to me, and i like the somewhat modern setting of the game also. there aren't enough RPGs set in the modern world. either they are balls out fantasy, or overly futuristic. i like the Parasite Eves of RPGS. where they take place in a contemporary time, though not quite the same world we live in.

one's a dark looking game ..the other one is not ..thats about it ..i don't think versus looks better neither does FFXIII

both look about the same ..but with different art direction and style settings

After looking at the HD pictures I can finally believe they are from in game. The scans from before were too smooth due to bluriness, but now I can see some polygon edges, and I'll have to say they are very close to CGI.
I think after this game we will have higher standards for PS3 graphics and we will not be impressed by any other game for a long time. Heavy Rain better come out before final fantasy otherwise their graphics will just be so-so...

Looks great, I'm glad we are seeing more visually impressive games from Japan this gen, there have not been many stunners on the visual side. Of course there is the stunning MGS4 but everything else is, of now, unreleased.

FFXIII was a game I always expected to be graphically mind blowing, but with the amount of time it's taken to develop it I think people will be less impressed.

Not to say the graphics aren't excellent, but a lot of competition for cutting edge visuals has been released in the mean time, and when I look at these screens now I see nothing that surprises me or opens my eyes.

Seems like a shame. They obviously have some excellent tech worthy of high praise, but it's just taken so long to see the light of day.

but versus look just like cgi while 13 is far behind(dont get me wrong it look cool too ), i think we all know y (we are looking at the pretty uncompress version,i dont even want to imagine how the ultra compress,ultra gimped version is gonna look like).

After playing FFXIII on the 360, I bet half the Xbots' 360 will RROD, the other half will convert to get PS3...what a smart plan SONY!!!!

No wonder it's still exclusive in Japan...cause they don't need to scheme anything over there.

The 360 version won't look worse fools, there are literally 0 multiplatform games that look any worse on 360 but not the case the other way round. And before u argue, look at any head to head comparisons, it's the biggest rarity for the PS3 to compare. It will look exactly the same on the 360. I love how you people praise FF13 for ages, and then when it's not the saving grace u needed, every bitter PS3 owner is like 'versus looks so much better graphically' as tho the FF13 screens are worse cos of the change even tho they're on the PS3. They both look the same if u hadn't noticed, but oh yeah, cos FF13 is multiplatform it looks appalling now lol
