Via PS3 Fanboy:

"We're confused, Mr. Pete Smith, producer of upcoming platform-a-thon LittleBigPlanet. When we spoke to you during today's LittleBigPlanet breakdown session you said that "the game will have a global server." Now we hear that you told CVG something a little different. User generated content will be region locked? Normally we'd say "we're not sure who to believe" at this point, but seeing as both statements come from the same person, we're doubly confused."

on topic: maybe there will be region locked user content AND global content (some global content could be "lost in translation").

Perhaps he means the servers are global, meaning we can interact internationally with other players but user generated content/data is not sharable outside the creators/senders region(?)

Dont get angry with Sony.

This smelled like BS from the start. I dont believe it. I think the fact its called Little Big PLANET and the fact the sharing is such a big part of it, implys everything will be available to everyone. Even if you can only play with people from your region, I bet the levels and other content will be on a global server so everyone can get it.

Dont be so eagar to believe the worst all the time, until we actually find out some REAL info. Its almost like an Xboxer just threw the bait out on the internet, know he'd get plenty of bites.

The gameplay is global and the UCC will be region locked.

But the developer said they can move content around at will. So maybe they'll move the best levels to all regions, while the sucking-mediocre levels will stay in their own region.

Or maybe UCC will be shared to all regions, but you can only access your regional server. Basically global content on regional servers.

I don't know, I'm getting confused myself. O_o

Idk, they hey probably meant that the levels you create won't be uploaded to the global servers right away and will stay local, you have to upload them. I choose to believe this story because this info came from a planned meeting and because I want this game to be as awesome as possible.
