Official LittleBigPlanet Website: EU & Canada Pre-Order Details

Lots of comments about Canada and EU pre-orders so we wanted to address them:

To our European fans – Our counterparts in EU say not to worry, your pre-orders will be announced shortly. In all honesty, each SCE territory has different market challenges and consumer trends. In the US, pre-orders are emphasized a lot earlier in the product marketing messaging cycle. On the other side of the coin, some countries don't emphasize pre-orders as much (or at all). Also, Europe is especially tricky because there are so many different countries, and each country has their own pre-order programs - specific to their own retail partners and consumers. Then include "X" amount of business discussions, legal discussions, logistic issues, etc, add water, and then you have a pre-order campaign (or at least a quick snapshot of the pre-order process). In the end, it just takes time to execute – so please be patient.

To our Canadian fans – Apologies for forgetting about you – we didn't have details until today, but we have good news and 'gooder' news. First the good news – there will be 2* pre-order campaigns in Canada. The 'gooder' news is that the 2* items are Kratos SackBoy and Nariko SackGirl.

So...regarding Kratos SackBoy @ Canada, he'll be waiting for you at your local EB Games & GameStop stores (north of the boarder).

I'm liking the website!

Yea Sony is really pushing LBP, I can't remember when Sony promoted a game this hard.

yeah, its an in-game skin for the sackboys. Kratos with EBgames, you'll get a code with your blu-ray disk of LBP.

3 - Sony really needs to learn how to milk their user base
like all the other companies do if they want the PS3 to be profitable. Why is there no LBP, Resistance 2 or Motorstorm 2 Collector's edition? They are leaving a lot of money on the table and it doesn't really make sense. Include all these preorder extras for LBP into a Collector's edition, with a making of DVD, throw in a plushy sackboy (that probably costs $2 or $3 to make) and you have a $89.99 Collector's Edition that will sell like hotcakes. Extra $20-$25 profit on each one sold. Sony needs a new marketing team.

Actually that's what I like from SONY and that's why I got rid of my X360 and now Wii....all those acessories, XBL fees and Wii-plus stuff is just BS. Give me games instead! and SONY does,

3.2 - I'm not advocating that they rip people off
But not offering a premium edition to those that want to buy it seems stupid. Fact is Sony is losing a nut on the PS3 and not doing stuff like this doesn't help get them out of the red.

Let me tell you something about this Little Big Planet. About a year ago a bunch of these skinny punks came to me and said "Macho Man, we want to put you in this game with sacks that we're making." That's when I told them, yeah, I said "BOYS, I've sacked a few runts in my day, I'm all in YEAH!" So here were are now and no Macho Man in LBP! Instead you fearers of true greatness, yeah, I'm talkin to all of ya, would rather have some face painted Crapos monkey. Dug.

most likely the middle east is include in no category at all, as usual. Tiny markets never get any special deals, thats business. Seems you will have to import via preorder from wherever your hardware is from.
