Valkyria Chronicles comes out in November with voice over options

Sega sent over a friendly reminder that Valkyria Chronicles has an official release date. We'll get a chance to pick up in English on November 11. Spencer of Siliconera spoke with Christopher Kaminski, Associate Producer of Valkyria Chronicles, to find out if the downloadble content recently released in Japan would find its way to North America. He replied with, "No comment yet." Kaminski confirmed the content will not be on the retail disc though when he answered Spencer's follow up question with, "No, that content won't be on the disc." Valkyria Chronicles won't have any localization differences either. "We translated it directly. We wanted to stay true to the original. As a matter of fact we keep the original Japanese in there."

Yeah bro its definitely a killer lineup from top to bottom. Kinda like my Angels :)

Valkyria Chronicles is just one of many PS3 games I will be purchasing during the fall/holiday season. November is just wicked though. Theres a AAA game due every week that month.

2 - I am a huge fan of stradegy rpg's...
And this game seems to take your standard srpg to another level in how u play those style games. I really think this game will be an awesome game. I watched a couple videos on IGN and the game has sold me on buying a copy. Should be a great game and I love the art style of the game aswell.

Its nothing like an RTS dude. Sega even added a little twist to the genre by implementing a 3rd person camera for taking your turns during battles.

Like final fantasy tactics, where the characters advance in battle square by square like on a chess board. Only Valkyria has made things more realtime, so your characters are on an actual battlefield. Like a 3rd person shooteRPG.

it was released in April and did mediocre sales wise considering the lack of RPG support this gen. Then again, it's a new concept that is primarily targetted to what you would think would be a western audience.

averaged about an 8.5/10 overseas. The problem is it's just not what the Japanese look for in an RPG. All things considered, I think it did well, but Sony RPG success comes with Eternal Sonata's port and White Knight Chronicles release, that's what they're looking for.

Valkyria could in fact do VERY well in NA and EU. We'll have to wait until November to see. I know I will have it in the running against Eternal Sonata and Bioshock for my post-Disgaea PS3 RPG gaming this fall.

I don't see a good old days RPG game from Sega in like 7 years.All I saw from then was Phantasy Star online(I did not like it) , a bunch of Sonic games and lots of average to bad titles.

I HOPE that Sega is not wasting their still famous name to launch a bad RPG.Hopefully it will be as good as the Shining and Dragon Force franchise.

Comes out during a crowded time of games. I'll already be backed-up with Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, and Disgaea 3 as far as RPGs go, and those come out in the States within weeks of each other. And Then there's Fable 2 and Last Remnant. Later this year.

Then throw in Resistance 2 and Gears 2, and I'm having a hard time finding a place for this game. And I'm sure I'm forgetting some other high profile games across both platforms. I'll definitely Gamefly this though, just to check it out.

12 - i was intrigued
by this game when i first saw screens of it, but it wasn't until i saw that 6 minute gameplay demonstration video from E3 last month before i really got excited about it.

it's seriously looking like one of the best titles Sega has put out in YEARS.

i'm trying to work my budget and do overtime, because my list of games i'd LIKE to buy is damn big:

360:
Fable 2 (must buy. me and my fiance need something to play together)
Infinite Undiscovery (i don't really have time for RPGs, but i want it anyway)

PS3:
Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
Fat Princess
Little Big Planet (must, MUST buy)
SOCOM
Resistance 2 (must buy)
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift
Vaklyria Chronicles
Disgaea 3

multi (most likely bought on my PS3)
Mercenaries 2 (must buy)
Mirrors Edge
Fallout 3 (must buy; my fiance WANTS this game more than i do; she's already beat Oblivion so many times i lost count, and wants her next fix)
Lego Batman (another game for us to enjoy together. we spanked Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (must buy, it just looks damn good)
Spider-Man Web of Shadows (it's probably going to be mediocre like the other Spidey games, but i'm a huge Spider-Man fan, so i'll get it anyway; i'll see if i can choose this as one of the two free games i get for being an Activision employee now)

and those are just the big ones i can think of.

too many games, and too much money. i'll be able to get the PSN titles no problem, but it's those $60 games that are the killer. i don't like to trade in games (FU Gamestop!), so that's not really in the cards (and i actually PLAY the games i have and like them, and don't want to trade them in for less than half of what i paid for them).
