1.3 - It's very interesting!
What I want to know is, what's the difference between the disk version and the downloadable version.
Will there be graphics differences? Will the DL one be less graphical?
I want to know all of these things, I'm on the border of buying this game with my remaining money.

2.2 - Actually, no. The limit you're thinking of is related to ARCADE titles only.
That's for XBLA. Xbox Live Arcade. That's not true for the entirety of Xbox Live. For example, many movies and even TV shows are larger than 350 MB. Furthermore, there are around 20 or more Xbox 1 titles that are available to download onto your 360, all of which contain more than 350 MB. They are still available.
This is not to say that I expect them to release Paradise as an Xbox Original, as it is clearly not an original Xbox game. My point is that it's entirely possible and that no one has said it isn't going to happen.
They removed that extremely low limit early on in XBLA's life and since the inception of Xbox Originals (original Xbox games available for full download), many very large games are available to download through Xbox Live.
I wouldn't be surprised if we do see Paradise downloadable on both XBLA and PSN.
The original xbox live ARCADE (read: Arcade games, games released on XBLA) was actually capped at 50 MB. They upped it to 150 and again to 350 MB. This only applies to ARCADE GAMES and nothing else. Original Xbox games that you can download on Live are all far larger than 350 MB. They are definitely available. It's astounding that so many people are disagreeing with this.
But then they also added Xbox Originals, which are full Xbox games you download onto the HDD. I guarantee the size of the file (in this case, Burnout Paradise) is not the problem with it coming to Xbox Live, if that's even a problem.
No one has said it isn't going to be downloadable on Live.

That's for XBox Live ARCADE. ARCADE GAMES. NOT XBOX ORIGINALS.
XBOX Originals are ALL far larger than 350 MB.
You damn PS3 fanboys need to stop disagreeing just because you don't like to hear that you might not be the only ones who will have this.
Christ.
And the limit was actually 50 MB, not 150 MB, when Arcade first launched.
Stop filling this post with blatant lies.
@below: I know that Xbox originals apply to Xbox games. Do you really think I meant to say Paradise is an Xbox 1 game?
No.
My point was that the 350 MB limit you ignoramuses keep spouting is a limit on XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) games ONLY. There are plenty of files, including Xbox Live Originals (my point for why this is completely possible) that are entirely larger than 350 MB.
Stop acting like it won't happen because of something completely unrelated. You can download Burnout 3 on Xbox Live. It's not available in the Arcade. It's an Xbox Original. It's bigger than 350 MB.
See my point?
And you are right that it was moved to 150 before being upped to 350. My point was that it was even lower beforehand and that had no effect on and has no effect on anything other than Arcade games. Not xbox originals and especially not 360 games.
My point isn't that it will be released as an Xbox Original.
My point is that the limit that was posted about is related to ARCADE games. The example for games that are larger than that limit is Xbox Originals.
This is not to say that Burnout Paradise would release in Xbox Originals.
Please try to read this again.
@marceles and barom who said "In other words X360 has no place for full fledged X360 games."
And so therefore it isn't possible for them to add it in? Did the PlayStation Network have some kind of method setup for downloading PS3 games prior to this?
No. Please shut up. Fanboy.
Furthermore, it's even more likely for this to happen on Live than on PSN before this was announced since Xbox Live actually has a method for downloading large titles (Originals). You cannot download PlayStation 2 games on PlayStation Network. Yet. Clearly, it is possible for them to set this up, just as it would be for Xbox Live to setup something for 360 games.
Stop making vast and ignorant generalizations and assumptions that you clearly are not knowledgeable about to keep any kind of side of your argument valid.
@beoulve who said "full games on PSN..hmmmm tell me why XBOX Live is better again? "
Well, Xbox already has full Xbox games up for download. Maybe you meant PS3 titles, but neither PS3 nor 360 have that option, yet.
Also, in regards to the producer claiming this as "another" PlayStation exclusive for burnout paradise, what is already exclusive to PlayStation, other than the Eye? Even in the case of the eye, we have xbox live vision, so mugshots are not exclusive to either system, either.
Please do tell.
@Vicophine who said "LossTheEarthbreaker = Troll, no where in the article does it say it's coming to XBL via download. GTFO"
And you're not trolling by simply coming in here and stating that I'm trolling? I'm not trolling for 360, either. I was trying to remind people that the game is just as good on 360 as PS3, and everyone should have it. Why is that so bad? I was responding to people commenting about Xbox Live and this game prior. Please get your crap straight and try to actually contribute.
Nowhere in the article does it say it ISN'T coming to XBL via download. You GTFO.

Xbox Originals apply to "original" Xbox games, and the cap was formerly 150MB until it was moved to 350 in May...I know it was originally 50 when it first came out.
Edit: Burnout 3 was also on Xbox 1...but fine fine, if it'll make you feel better, they'll release it as an Xbox Original because it's too big for the XBLA cap...they can only release it as any of the 2, so either it's a full xbox 1 game, or it's a 350MB XBLA game, they're not gonna make a separate category specially for Burnout Paradise...not to say it wont happen in the future, but I'm sure they'll have a bigger game than Burnout Paradise to debut the first full 360 game available for download...now calm down sheesh

First off this wouldn't apply for Xbox Arcade (cause it ain't an arcade game) OR Xbox Originals (it's not an Xbox game, it's X360 game). In other words X360 has no place for full fledged X360 games.
Second, if you read the playstation blog which is written by the producer of the game he states "Today we’re proud to announce another PLAYSTATION EXCLUSIVE for Burnout Paradise."
Maybe you should take a second look before calling everyone fanboys no?

Your point makes no sense. Sure they have Xbox originals above 350MB; and sure they've raised the cap on XBLA games a few times. That doesn't suggest that they'll immediately raise the cap up to several Gig. And they obviously won't add a separate category just for Burnout Paradise - a game that's already sold on disc.
Of course, if some high up guy in Microsoft gets annoyed that it's only online on PSN then they'll add it just to make the point that they aren't behind.

I'm pretty sure, the "XBL Arcade" title applies to all 360 games that are downloadable. Therefore if this game was to be downloaded on the 360 it would be an XBLA game, meaning that there is a cap limit on the size of the game. Just my thoughts though. I'm sure that if it was gonna be on XBL they would've announced that as well as becoming available on the PSN.

"Nowhere in the article does it say it ISN'T coming to XBL via download. You GTFO."
Since you're obviously not intelligent enough to find the info by yourself (even though I've mentioned it in my reply).
http://blog.us.playstation....
The quote
"Today we’re proud to announce another PlayStation exclusive for Burnout Paradise. This fall, we’ll be making the entire game available for download via the US PLAYSTATION Store."
Also regarding your statement "You cannot download PlayStation 2 games on PlayStation Network. Yet. Clearly, it is possible for them to set this up, just as it would be for Xbox Live to setup something for 360 games. "
Are you totally clueless about the PSN? Need I mention that PSN ALREADY has full fledged PLAYSTATION 3 titles (indeed they skipped PS2)? Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Warhawk, GT5P and now Burnout Paradise.
It's quite obvious whos the fanboy here really. You are arguing for something that hasn't been announced (making it seem like it will) and from the producer's statement seems likely that it's not gonna either. I'm not saying it's not possible for XBLA to have this. I'm saying CURRENTLY XBLA has not made room for that possibility.

Might be also a way to squeeze out a bit more for a title which is available since a while now. Putting a "Best Of" version on the shelfs for $29.90 does not reduce the production costs, but lowers the margin. Maybe they try to cut the loss by simply reducing the production cost thru the download offer. I personally prefer a disk, though. Some time (yeah some time), I might get another PS3. Having the game on one HD doesn't really help here (don't know how often you can download that with the same account, and even if you can, how do you play it with another one ?).

This is only possible on the PlayStation Network, as Xbox Live has a very small cap on how big downloadable games can be. I'm really liking this new trend Sony is starting. 360 owners have been able to download full Xbox games on their 360's already. I don't believe PS3 has been able to download PS2 games, however this is a step in the right direction.
That said, I think it's highly likely we'll see Paradise downloadable on XBLA, too.

this title is not an ambitious title that was built to take the PS3 to its fullest advantage. In other words, this game does not push BD to its limits like HOW MGS4 does. Thats why its going to be downloadable. Now when it comes to games like "Rage" for example, you wont see it become a Downloadable title becuase its taking advantage of the whole BD.
This is a great step in the Right Direction though because it shows the PSN's stengths. hopefully this would become a new way for Developers to DIstribute their retail games on the PSN.

these are quality PSN games without blu-ray, blu-ray is needed for HIGHER QUALITY such as blu-ray movies and games, you cannot get blu-ray quality through digital distribution cause blu-ray isnt a file, blu-ray is a disc read with a blu laser. this is just showing off the power of the PSN : P
blu-ray is needed, blu-ray is the future.

It's simple:
Multiplat games = can be downloaded from the PSN because, well, they tend to be less than 9 gigs.
Sony First and Second Party titles and third party exclusives = blu-ray is needed because they can be technically more impressive than multiplat titles.

Thats microsofts statement and there the ones not even doing it! Man, Microsoft is just a bunch of clowns. They just have a bunch of little tricks in there pockets. Xbox live=David Blane, just a big wash up with no skillz. PSN=Chris Angel, the new show stopper with lots of better content. Microsoft is owning themselves on this one. "Yes, downloading is the future, but we wont be the ones to do this at all" Have fun with your small little XBLA games. Theres like 2 games that are 3d. Thats really sad. PSN actually gets full games, like Siren blood curse, Warhawk, Ratchet and clank quest for booty, Burnout P, and more. Plus we don't have to pay, which makes it even more funny. I bet Microsoft is spending there xbox live money on Crystal meth or something.

12 - Since I ran out of room in the Gamer Zone
I'd just like people to know that the simple fact that this game is coming to PSN provides the possibility for it to appear on Xbox Live.
I'm sorry if this upsets you.
Also, Xbox Live has full xbox titles available for download. No, these aren't 360 titles, but they approach the file size.
I know, because I have a PS3, that Warhawk, GT:5 Prologue, and Siren are all available currently. However, I argue that these aren't full PS3 games and are different from Paradise simply because they don't come in a box in a retail store, but also since they don't approach the depth of a full game.
The name Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, obviously implies that it is simply an introduction. A demo, if you will.
Siren is episodic. If Oblivion released all its content digitally, similar to the downloadable content, as opposed to an actual boxed release, it would be a much larger game, but it would also be entirely downloadable in episodes, meaning you could just download a questline at a time. When you want to play a different questline, you have to start up another episode. It's not all-in-one. You can download all the Siren episodes together at once, but you have to play them seperately. If they release them all in a box you can call it a full PS3 title.
Warhawk is online-only. This does not a full PS3 title make, as if I didn't have an internet connection I couldn't f'ing play it.
EDIT: @pwnsause: You do realize there are plenty of things available for download over 350 MB on Xbox Live that aren't in the Arcade, right?
And that there are already many much larger Xbox 1 games available?
Why is it not possible for XBL to do something that PSN is planning? Why is it not possible for PSN to do all the things that Live has already done and has?
The answer is simply that it IS possible, in both cases.

@Vicophine who said "
I didn't know I could download a case too... "
You can't. I'm not sure why you made such an idiotic response to my Siren explanation, which wasn't exactly logical itself.
Point with Siren is that you can't just load up Siren and play through all the episodes.
EDIT: I wasn't aware that you owned the Japanese BD-ROM, if that's what that is. Siren is being released in Europe pretty soon, I think, though.
So, I guess I stand corrected on Siren not being in a box. I still disagree as to whether it's deserving of being a "full" PS3 game, but whatever. Congratulations, PS3 has an actual PS3 game on PSN. Still, why does this negate the possibility of 360 doing similar things?
Also, the more I talk about this the more I'm positive that you'll see Paradise on Live probably at the same exact time as PSN.

there are no games that are available over that 350mb size limit. Microsoft Pushed the cap the other day to make room for Bionic Commando Rearmed and Street fighter 2 HD Remix.
In terms of Original Xbox games, i know they allow it to download. but think about this, does that make sense? you know that is really dumb. they set a double standard there which is stupid.
Edit:
No it doesnt. They imposed a size limit on XBLA games. they should be removing that limit and allow devs to do whatever the hell they want with downloadable games without imposing such a burden at them.

@pwn - Perhaps not on XBLA, but we're not talking about XBLA anymore. We already know that over 20 xbox live titles are downloadable, all over 350 MB.
Why is it so hard for you to believe that Paradise can be released on Live if PSN is already going to do it?
Yes, it makes perfect sense for them to allow Xbox original games to be downloaded and for them to let Paradise be downloaded.
I'm not sure which you thought didn't make sense, nor do I see how it's dumb or the double standard you seem to.
@ice-prophecy below:
A lot of those things are movies and such, yes, but also there are many Xbox games, all of which are pretty large, many over a GB. I honestly don't see them having to bend much at all to put the game up.
They probably will release other best-selling titles along with Paradise on both PSN and XBL. I think it's inevitable to see 360 titles appearing as downloadable content. The problem you're going to see with XBL is that 360 doesn't have an upgradeable HDD beyond Microsoft's 120 GB or whatever it is.
ALSO: In regards to people mentioning that they say this is PlayStation Exclusive, I'd take that with a grain of salt because the way they word it is not necessarily that of something truly exclusive to PlayStation.
Either way, this affects me in no way. I have both and I already have the f'ing game.
EDIT 2: I think your idea about HDD expansion or add-on of some kind is very good and will most likely be necessary for MS to get past their small HDD sizes.

I thought those limits applied to games and such?
I really have no idea how the live system works tbh.
I dont doubt that LIVE is more than capable of hosting Burnout Paradise on its network. I just wonder if Microsoft are willing to bend their policies to do it.
As we all know how the responded to other developers that wanted to get features in and couldnt.
edit: Well if microsoft is going to seriously pursue selling full disc based games on the LIVE service seriously, then they should consider selling a HDD Caddy unit, so people can put their own hdd in. Microsoft still gets a sale, users are happy because they aren't bound to size limits.

I said this in the gamerzone and I'll say it again
It WILL NOT come to Xbox live, not because of size restrictions but have you seen a 360 game for download yet? No, and we are NOT talking about Original Xbox games either, PSN already has 5 full titles available to download, and we would no doubt see a first party title do it before a 3rd party title. It would also be pretty stupid since the majority of 360 owners only have 20GB(13GB) hard drives, and some with NO hard drive at all, and I dont think anyone in there right mind would pay $180 for a measly 120GB, hell I can get 500GB(external) for $140 for my ps3. While the majority of ps3 owners have 60GB or higher.

12.10 - first off earthbreaker
when it comes to online network offerings this game has been clearly stated to be a PSN exclusive by both EA, Criterion, and Sony, that automatically puts this out of the xbox live availabilty in the future as a no go never happening.
thats the publisher, the developer, and the platform holder telling you it's exclusive.
now you say that xbla offers games bigger than 350mb, i'm sure they do because of the xbox originals, but these are HD games we are talking about full fledged retail disc based games for xbox 360, not xbox, so have we seen a game to do what sony has been doing? no.
Tekken:Dark Ressurrection, Warhawk, GT5:prologue, Siren:Blood Curse, Fatal Inettia EX. these are all games that have a disc release as well.
next on the list, is Ratchet: Quest for Booty
Socom:Confrontation, Wipeout HD, and now Burnout:Paradise.
this is showing the strength of the PSN and the versatility of the Network platform as it's unrestrained and unrestricted, as many developers have said from their own mouths, Sony facilitates freedom and creativity, the biggest game availible on the PSN right now is Siren:Blood Curse, coming in at 9.4 gigs with all the episodes and thats under compression because it ships on blu-ray in japan. so if devs are free to launch a game on the scale of a dual layered DVD on PSN, do you think they are going to go with an unrestrictive network or one that a platform holder has all these road blocks, and restrictive policies.
Epic proved it with mods, LBP is proving it with user content, and now another 3rd party game, the second to launch on PSN exclusively BTW is showing yet again that Sony's online network is the way to go.
i still dont see a full fledged 360 title like gears or halo3 or forza 2 availible for download. not even an episodic game like siren which you can even download all together is availible on a "superior" online platform thats been revamped and updated and in market for now 6 years?
I've said this before, in this world there are trend setters, and trend followers. MS ins't the setter.
Come back when the xbox360 and MS has finally launched a game on the scale of 2gbs-9.4gbs in it's life cycle and we'll have this discussion yet again. till then The PS3 fanbase can gloat as Sony puts on the maestro suits and directs the choir that MS assembled. they've put their money where their mouth is, Whats MS doing?

And, I definitely will be toning it down. I could have done it a lot better. I think I even got negative feedback and lost a bubble.
Which sucks because all I was trying to do was correct the situation and provide some thoughts on why it very well could and probably is coming to 360. Not to say it was going to happen, either, just that it's possible.
It happens all the time, but people blindly spew misinformation that I just like to see stopped as soon as it starts. It's a pet peeve of mine. Either someone misunderstands me or they misunderstand something that I understand and I then feel compelled to inform them.
This isn't to say I don't have my own opinions, either. You guys will be surprised to know a lot of this crap, too, because it seems I've been deemed a 360 troll in a PS3 section.
I don't pay attention to sections, first of all. I pride myself on not being biased towards any one console. I own all 3 and have a pretty kickass PC. I wish I had an HDTV, but I got a monitor last near that I really like, nice little widescreen 22. I like and seek information relating to games. That's why you'll see my comments everywhere. I come off very abrasive in many of my comments and I apologize. Now, moving on.
I go to the "ALL" section and look through every damn thing for anything that interests me. Even with my most recent 2nd RROD (will have my third 360 soon), I still feel like Microsoft's 3 year warranty with full service is real f'ing good compared to the PS3. I didn't have to deal with any bullshit poorly paid customer service madness last time, nor pick up the phone. I pray I don't have the kind of problems I had with my PS2, because Sony's customer service was hell. I don't know if it's improved, but it's something I've dreaded and I don't think I've heard fantastic things.
However, it seems like the hardware is a hell of a lot more dependable. That's probably not the most important thing necessarily, but I'd rather not have to deal with sending in my console in the first place (let alone twice or more and not having it to play in the meantime twice or more).
There are a ton of great XBLA games I love and really very few on PSN in comparison, with most of the really good ones on XBLA, many of which are arguably better games, and some that are on both PSN and XBLA. Sony needs to open up their service a little more to really get some more new fresh content out than they do.
I love not having to pay for online play on PSN. The additions of Trophies was a good move and a mechanic that I think really adds a competitive and very challenging aspect to a lot of games. Achievements. Replay value, basically, which is something I always dig. It needs to be adapted by Nintendo, too.
I really don't play my Wii much, as you can tell by my focuses in this. :p
PS3 is a little lacking when it comes to the online portion, but I really don't notice much difference anymore when I think about whether or not I want to pay for the same thing.
I'm starting to lean more and more towards it, especially because I feel like I'm going to be playing it more when I look at the titles on both systems and on either system. Once some of these big titles are released on PS3, I just feel like there isn't a whole lot exclusive to the 360 anymore.
It helps that I have more confidence in PS3 developers now. Developers have gained a lot of experience in PS3 development finally, so the games exclusive on PS3 are more attractive to me. Multi-platform games with online play I try to go to PSN, because I don't like paying for Live and because these games are usually equal on either system. GTA looks a little better on PS3 to me, mostly because it doesn't have that weird oil-painting effect, but I got it on 360 because of downloadable content because the game is equal to the PS3 version, for example.

This download is a PSN exclusive. It could appear on XBox Live as MS could just waive any restrictions if there were any. It is there prerogative but it won't happen anytime soon because Criterion announced it as an exclusive. Here is the link (read the first sentence):
