4 million for not even 2 months on store shelves is amazing. More so when you factor in maybe 15 million Ps3's out there and the fact gears of war only sold 5 million on a 20 million install base over the last 2 years.

there's less PS3 than the others consoles, so 4m is an awesome number but a sequel of a stealt-tactical game (which is hard to play for the first time and hard to follow the story). With another price-drop for christmas... the sales are going to boost for sure.

Vgchartz got it wrong again. MGS2 sold 7 million copies and MGS3 sold 4 million copies. Not MGS3 with 5 million and mgs2 with 2. I don't know how they could get sales numbers THAT wrong.

When your in the Playstation store, click on the button "Downloads" located on the upper right corner of the screen. This will pull up a list of the games/free video trailers/etc. that you've downloaded in the past.

Scroll through the list for the Qore annual subscription listing. The Qore August edition should be right above it. Click on the download button and you're all set!!

Either way though I got me LE at the midnight launch. Regardless of the downsides of this gen, I got my favorite game of all time this gen and that's enough to make this my favorite. I'm not a bandwaggoner either, I'm thankful that my favorite game came to me this year. I hope this game gets as many sales as it can get.

This is coming from someone who owns both ps3 and 360 u fanboys really need to get a life, I mean a real life because every time I look around u people are botching about the next console like u own the company. Since I own both I can give a true opinion on which is better and in my opinion right now the ps3 is my favored console. now I’m not saying it is better then the 360 because its not, but 2 games make it my favored console uncharted and mgs4. Now these are 2 amazing games no matter what any 360 fan says.
But this novomber the 360 will be my favored console because of gears 2, u see that is what happens when u own both consoles u don’t truly favor one u just favor it for the moment. Now I only had my ps3

Are no mandatory at least not yet. I mean it comes with a memory card so u can save ur games so if u are saying u need it for down loadable content, well that’s is left up to u whether wont a hard drive for that, but at least with the 360 u have a choice unlike the ps3 where I bout the 40 gig and can’t play ps2 games if I wonted, u see no choice. I cant up grade my ps3 it is just the one I bout. But like I said if u own both consoles it is impossible to be a true fan boy u can only favor one console for the moment, if u only own one console ur opinion is not a true opinion it is only the opinion of a fan boy, a one conmsole owner.

you must be new to gaming & the "war"!

I favor my experience with double rrod in 2 weeks & suffered
with errors, jammed disc tray, scratched disc, maxed out hardrive &
dlc while playing multi platform games & paying to play online. Gears
& halo3 are easily sacrificed. It was absolutly no problem to switch to
ps3 & have all of my friends come with me. You see noobs I'm a leader.
ps3 has been a better experience for my friends & I since January 1st, 2008.
Not to mention the ton of money we saved on playing online, ms points dont exist &
a bluray player!
We used the money for games & 320 gb hdd's.

So stay out of it & stop trying to play both sides
of the fence.

MGS4 is one of those games that's gonna sell consistently through this gen.
I still find it amazing how this game can sell so much w/ such a high price tag that the PS3 is worth.
Once the PS3 releases the $400 80GB PS3 and puts it in bundles expect to see PS3 take the lead.
Bundles Confirmed for this holiday season.
1.) MGS4 Bundle
2.) GTA IV
3.) GT5 Prologue Bundle
4.) FFXIII Advent Children Bundle
5.) Tekken 6/Soul Calibur IV Bundle
6.) Motorstorm Bundle
7.) SOCOM Confrontation Bundle

That's a lot of variety to choose from this holiday season and especially the true next gen games coming on the PS3 from here on out.
