Please tell me the majority of the ranked matches have no respawn. It removes almost all of the tactical skill involved. It used to be pretty effin impressive to have a 6-7 kill streak in Socom - no regenerating health, no cheap perks like choppers/air strikes to boost kills, etc... Just you and your wits N aim. Snatching victory away from the opposing team, getting congratulated in the next round, all good stuff. Hope they didn't deviate from the formula. Well, at least I don't to worry about noobs in tanks anymore.

There are just going to be way too many shooter for me to handle this fall. But i'm not complaining, just more people for me to kill online. This really makes me happy so be a ps3 owner.Socom is so freaking addictive. I'm still playing MGO online. Already unlocked weapon, scope, and camo for Call of Duty 4 so i sold it. I hope they have trophies for like getting so many kills without dying or a certain objective you have to complete to unlock it.

Edit: Nevermind it works, just had to wait for a while. Looks real good and the cover system looks real flexible and looks real useful at the same time. Cant wait to try this game out.

Especially for a downloadable title. Too many people are comparing this game to other titles that have been made specifically for disk. Not only that, but this game is made with multiplayer in mind. They most likely aren't going to even mess around with a solid single player mode because the real meat and potatoes of the SOCOM series is all about the multiplayer and community connectivity. I can't really think of another console game besides HALO where the online community is so tightly knit and experienced. Talk to anyone who is in a serious SOCOM clan, and they will tell you all about how hardcore the players in the game can get.
