won't delete it. But still gotta wonder why no trophy support for Resistance 1. I think that would spark sales and get people psyched for R2. But hey, Insomniac makes a quality product so I'm not going to give them a hard time.

why would someone want to delete their savefiles? it's not even that big of a file and every PS3 is equiped with at least 20GB HDD! I've never deleted my savefiles and never will! those are what I'll show my friends about my progress and to be proud of if I've finished a game! it's the feel of accomplishment after hours of playing! I don't want the time I spent to be waste! :P

Thanks for the info. Doesn't seem like it would take more than one guy to do this but I'll trust Insomniac and just make do playing through the game sans trophies. At least I know R2 will have 'em for sure.

Insomniac always do the game save thing, they have done it for most of their Ratchet games. So it would be a good idea to keep the saves.

Another reason for people to draw parallels between Gears 2 and Resistance 2, god knows why since one is a third person and the other is a first person but still, rivalry runs rampant around here.

I guess I should actually try to beat Resistance 1 on more than just normal at some point.

Couldn't pass up a greatest hit!

It's good to hear that Insomniac is keeping their tradition going.

I remember doing that for all of the ratchet games, except RaCF:ToD. That's the only one so far, but Booty may have the same thing.

...I've only played the demo and loved it. My brothers been telling me for a long time to get the game. However I've been kind of holding off on buying the game, one, because I am a relatively late purchaser of the PS3 and there's plenty of old and new games I want to get and two, I can be what they call, "cheap".

So luck would have it I snagged a copy off ebay for $19 though and look forward to playing through to full game and keeping my saved games which I pretty much always do...with the exception of that Viking game I rented.

Still runs the risk of saved games being passed around. That kind of trophy would require a patch for the first game to lock the saves, at which point they might as well implement trophies in to the first one. (Which would not be a bad thing).

You'll have to send the PS3 in with the HDD, so maybe if you get a bigger HDD to save the data, then send the old HDD back in the PS3. When you get the new/repaired PS3 you can put the bigger HDD back in :D

Who exactly would delete their old game saves? I could understand back in the day on a tiny memory card but anyone who would delete a 1mb save file from a 40/60/80 GB hard drive is obviously an idiot! Its hardly like you are pushed for space (and deleting it is not really freeing up much space is it).

Just saying that to myself why the hell would som1 delete their saves anyway? I collect save datas as proof i beat/played a game. I would never delete a kb-mb file on a 60gb drive. I cried when my ps2 memory card got full because it meant something had to go :(.

If someone has run out their 60GB or 40Gb drives an upgrade is needed, it's better than deleting stuff you may want.

I have a 250GB PS3 now and have no fear of running out of space. I'll just delete the really really old videos if I ever need to, or I'll get a 500GB drive :D

i wonder when the Beta will be released i have signed up on almost everything that offered the beta & I pretty sure i have a good 60-80% chance of getting in it that's if Qore keeps it word about the beta shoot Im still waiting for the SOCOM beta to be opened still X(

Why would you delete your game saves? You really needed those extra kB? But thats just you.
i wouldve deleated a song, wallpaper, theme, or a trailer. But i usually dont start deleating anything until my 55 gigs are maxed out.
and if i still needed that extra kilobyte no matter what(which is never going to happen) i would put it on my PSP memory stick.
i NEVER delete my saves. I keep them as collections.

If you're worrying about running out of space just upgrade the HDD. It's really easy and quick, will save you the trouble of having to delete stuff :)

It will probably be the same thing in Ratchet where old weapons are available when you access a certain point in the game via a prequel save file.

Oh well I did not keep my save file I hate clutter #1 and #2 I only have 40gig and I buy pretty much any game I want. Once I bore of a game I tend to sell to a friend and then delete the install and save. So very few games use old saves so it doesn't make sense to keep everything on file. Plus the only person that really cares about the saves you have is you... and If the save means that much to you, you would probably play it again(or not delete.). You could not delete any file and eventually have to upgrade or delete to make room for the next best thing since only .0001% use previous game saves. Worthless IMO
