because alot of gamers have been dying for a really good fighting game.Not only that its really fun from the online to the character creation.Namco deserve the sales....despite them cutting corners for not implementing rumble,crappy story mode and releasing expensive DLC the same week the game came out >_< 15 bucks for old soulcaiber games stage songs? come on now namco seriously WTF

I'm not surprised by the success given it's multiplatform, an established franchise, fills in an empty genre (for the time being), and has marketed the Star Wars angle very effectively... But I do wonder whether they are shipped or retail figures, because there is a world of difference... If only I could read Namco's Japanese report. :(

i love tekken but my favorite fighting game of all time has to be WU-TANG: Shaolin Style, omfg that game is sooo awesome, its for the ps1 but its still the best : ), check it out!

EDIT: Frankly I'd be embarrassed to be seen playing this game because the sexual-suggestion is "that" strong. (Hell I'd say it crushes DoA outright! Itagaki is probably rolling around in tears as I type)

Well done SC4 and Nanco, now get you'r butts in to gear and add RUMBLE to the Ps3 virsion. I don't care about Trophies, but no rumble..... Come on.

If you don't add Rumble to tekken 6, then you must have an IQ of -1000.

Agreed. I have no idea why rumble was left out, it just doesn't make sense. Trophies and custom soundtracks are understandable, but rumble just seems daft, even if some people don't want it, they can turn it off.

So many 3rd party games will continue to go multiplatform. After this, Namco will probably take a hard look at what to do with Tekken.

I can only imagine what kind of damage games like Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4 are going to do.
