I guess its a good sign that Home's development is going fine. We could expect a release before winter 08, or at least the public beta.

yes, id much rather have a glitchy, unfinished, rushed product than wait and not have xbots, OMGZ home is teh suck, the furniturez is floating! even though they're gonna be there anyway. OMGZ second life is teh only avatar service in the world!

I was getting skeptical. With all the media guys--1up yours in particular--making statements like "it's not coming out", I almost started to feel the same way. And honestly, after trophies, in-game xmb, custom soundtracks...I'm kinda good with the PSN.

So yeah, this is a great sign. I know the usual people will kill home for not being absolutely perfect, but it could really be something special.

And if it stinks it's not like we're forced to use it.

3 - They've already modified PSN's internal network structure
Too accomodate for this application, as well as the PS3's firmware. I wouldn't be surprised if they released the HOME public beta (1.0 version) within the next few weeks. They need to push it out before Microsoft's Avatar/Dashboard update.

6 - the release date is rumored
to be announced at Leipzeig; which is in the next couple of weeks and would put it within the time frame this article mentions. Bioshock's PS3 box says it's HOME enabled. I think it'll launch around October, the same time as Little Big Planet.

Yeah, I think so, they'll probably release the Beta for Europe first during the press conf. similar to the US film/TV store..."the HOME Beta is available for download tonight"...they kind of want to show that things are happening now, today and not only during the fall

That's the way I've expected things to pan out. I've said so for the last year.

LBP is a community game at heart. Home is a hub for the PS3 community (Kinda like a huge 3D XMB). Both fit perfectly together.

I'm still expecting an October 31st date to be stamped on it to safeguard disappointment, but I expect it sooner than that, let's say maybe a week either side of the LBP release :)

I completely agree.

There's only so much time in one's life to game; patience is something more people should look to gain.

Just 1 month to Spore. Just two and a half months to Home. Just 3 months to Resistance 2 and Motorstorm:PR. Just 5 months to Killzone 2.

The gaps may seem huge but (ironically) time flies if you have the patience to wait for something and busy yourself with other things.

I've been waiting for it since it was released. Looks like a great place to meet some people who are interested in what i'm in. Also looks like a great place to get the parallel experience to gaming which is socializing about gaming. lol. Just look at all of us on N4g or other forum sites. Imagine monthly reviews at someone's apartment where they show video footage on there wall and stand there and talk about it.

The possibilities are endless. I expect it to gain serious momentum as time goes on. It'll be a snowball effect. Slow at force but constantly moving and progressing until its a phenomenom and any console without that experience will seem placid.

Seriously, imagine having a proper production of a monthly review show by a group of people that took place in their apartments in Home but there were different apartments for different games. You had to turn up to the one you wanted to watch lol, that'd be awesome!

You could then produce your own T-shirts to sell as merchandise for the show, Home has amazing depth to it. Could even earn some cash doing it...

Since I purchased my PS3 in 2006, I have been impressed on the amount of support for the PSN. Home will be a great addition to it, and I don't have to pay for it. So whenever it comes out, I will be ready.
