Actually, I thought there estimates for Bionic Commando and Re5 were low! I think that BC will easily sell over 1M on both consoles, and RE5 will probably do 3-3.5M combined on both consoles.

I did think that the projections for SFIV was too high though. I know that the series has a large fan base... but I don't think the mainstream will be drawn to it.

I agree some of the estimates were low. I expect Bionic Commando and Dead Rising to sell around their targets (as long as Bionic Commando is entertaining it will meet it's target). But I expect SF4 to sell at least 2.5 mil and Resident Evil 5 to sell at least 3.5 mil. Capcom should make over half a billion off these games.

I think that Resident Evil 5 will sell at least 3 million units, and street fighter at least 2 million, but i dont think that Bionic Commando will sell that much, i think that it will sell 1 million

That would be less than half of MGS4 has sold yet (5mio, right? Anybody has more recent numbers?). I doubt that, because 1) it has a huge fanbase everywhere and 2) it's multiplat.

The 2.66M does not include bundles... so yea, it probably is near 5M, or at least 4M. But it also probably wouldn't have sold quite as much w/o the bundle.

Day 1 for me. I'm getting the PS3 version since that's all I obviously have, but this being available for 360 now as well will only help bolster sales. I'm guessing RE5 will shift between 3-5 million units.

its not a day one for me but if it gets good reviews over the first couple weeks i might just get it.

I think Capcom is showing its hand a bit here! They might know its nothing new and what they tried to do new is nothing to be pumped about!

Resident Evil 4 Wii edition has sold almost 2 million copies. That's pretty good for a last gen port... It's also one of the reasons Capcom's making a Dead Rising title for the Wii.

Although RE4 was completely new this doesnt have many new gameplay features from the comparisions people are making about it.Most RE games do fairly well though selling between 2-5 million(5 million being RE 2),and those sale figures are for america alone.

Man, you've missed out. Some of the best games from past generations. If you have bc compatible PS3 or a PS2 (or Gamecube even), I'd definitely suggest going back to play the previous RE games. RE 4 especially if you want to get an idea of what 5 will be like.

If you can get ahold of them, I'd check out these games:

Resident Evil 0 (Gamecube)
Resdient Evil 1 (PS1 or Gamecube remake if you can)
RE 2,3 (PS1 or Gamecube)
RE Code Veronica (PS2 or Dreamcast)
RE 4 (Wii, PS2, Gamecube)

Stay away from the shooting types of RE games, though. They aren't very good. Although the Wii Umbrella Chronicles is a fun multiplayer game.

I think Capcom will be pleasantly surprised when these games release. RE 5 will easily top those predictions as well as Street Fighter 4. And that's just based on these games being multiplatform. Bionic Commando seems fair. I'm sure they can hit that.

No way, it will easily be twice as much I reckon, MGS4 only hit around 2million worldwide, now considering many PS3 owners I would say perhaps the majority that bought MGS 4 but then given the absolute huge 360 userbase it will sell at least around twice as much.
