Preorders have also been ranked higher for PS3. This is just a sign that PS3 is growing and the 360 has plateaued.

Yeah, and also this is from Amazon only. Since it shipped from Amazon and it takes one business day to ship, the people who bought it from there don't even have the game yet lol ....

1.8 - It's probably true but ...
I'm getting Geometry Wars 2 on XBLA. Then I'll think about Soul Calibur. I'll prolly get it once the Yoda/Vader DLC is finalized. If PS3 version has trophy support, I'll buy it on PS3 or else it's 360.

I think the PS3 is more starved for good games right now so its sales should be more brisk on good new games

I agree. Didn't we learn from the GTA IV sales that Amazon.com does not represent the world? This same post was done with GTA IV and the 360 version outsold it and in some places 2:1. Oh well, whoever finds a "victory" in this enjoy it while you can.

EDIT: Oops too late: 360 version at #5 now and PS3 version at #7.

I bought the 360 version but i knew the ps3 version would outsell it.I'm happy for sony, but the sale figures aren't horribly unbalanced as one is in 9 and the other at 11.At the end of the day, the game is best fighting game on any console to date regardless of what console you play it on

SC4 PS3 sales lead over 360 SKU???? Am I the only one who sees that there is a problem with this???

O rely? SC4 PS3 sold more than 360 "SKU" ???????

You just made a statement, said "o rely", repeated the same statement AGAIN, used like seven million question marks, and provided no definitive point even after your redundancy. Yeah, I see a problem.

But above all, you said "o rely". Christ.

you are not the only one that sees a problem with it...you are the only one that doesn't realize that 'sku' is referring to the 360 version of SCIV...and not a 360 console...

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit...its retail slang to represent an individual type of item that is legally up for sale...

SCIV has two seperate SKUs... a PS3 sku...and a 360 sku...

7 - We are aware that Amazon is one retailer right?
An online retailer at that. I like N4G, but it still amazes me how bad the "news" tags are. "PS3 version of Soul Calibur 4 leads Xbox 360 version at Amazon" would have been much better and actually accurate. Now we get to sit through the rants from fanboys on each side of the fence as they argue which version is better based on misleading information. Way to go.

The xbox360 version should be leading because of the larger install base due to the fact that it was released earlier.

12 - Plenty will buy the PS3 version soley based on the controller alone
I seem to be leaning towards the PS3 version, well how important is Voice Chat, Rumble, and Achievements to me?

I hate being torn...I did download Original SC and the D-Pad wasn't too shabby since the game is not like street fighter, but still the DS wins.

Grrrrr FN, microsoft, better your damn controller.

There are some online tutorials on how to fix your D-Pad so it works better.

I agree I don't know why MS hasn't done something about their D-Pad? It seems like the home remedy is easy to do and would think it wouldn't take much change in the manufacturing to fix. Otherwise the controller is tip top.

then invest in the stick. A good fight stick is better than any d-pad for both pads.

What is being bought on Amazon.com really doesn't reflect what might be actually going on in retail when it comes to PS3 game sales vs 360 game sales, but really I think that a game like Soul Calibur 4 would sell more on the PS3.

I just checked Amazon.com and now the 360 version is ranked 5 and the PS3 version is ranked 7... the Metal Gear Solid 4 80GB PS3 bundle is ranked at 3, the 40GB PS3 for $399 is ranked 12, and the 20GB Xbox 360 for $299 is ranked at 17.... wow, the PS3 is still kicking the 360's butt.

17 - this is just Amazon
I want to see total sale, not Amazon or Target. I want to see the PS3 version dominate in sales. 360 always out sells the PS3 with the Big games. They have the bigger base and spend more money. If we pull this off it will show we don't just watch movies.

Well the DPAD on the PS3 controller is superior and more people want to play as the legendary villain Darth Vader. Plus, IGN and Famitsu agree, the PS3 version is better.

special edition is also in at number 25 so theres 2 versions in the top 25 to the ps3 1. Again amazon means nothing.

23 - Well, Soul Calibur 3 was exclusive to PS2
And like many fighters that sold better on PS3 I wouldn't be surprised. Look at DBZ & VF5 for more information. Sony should really thank Japan. They really make this possible.

This really isn't official though.

Like someone said earlier it is, because of Darth Vader is why the PS3 sold more on the release thingy.

28 - *sigh*
As a 360 fan..... the 360 has a piece of shiz for a D-Pad and would cripple the average player's ability to perform moves correctly, and to say that every 360 fighting fan should own a fighting stick is an understatement, but unfortunately it isn't a reality as I myself do not own one, but I am not a hardcore fighting fan, so all in all......... who gives a shiz about sales? lol.

Given a choice based on D-Pad I'd pick the PS3 version as well. I like the PS3 pa dmore as a general rule anyway. I don't plan on getting this one just yet so no worries for me.

The xbox also has a premium addition at 27, so I think these 2 added will be higher than the PS3 version
