But Vader's attacks are more than likely more powerful, I haven't played it yet but the slow one is usually stronger than the fast one, It balances out, Yoda is fast, Vader is strong.

and Vador's got some pretty cool looking moves, not that Yoda doesn't. Some of Yoda's attacks where he's flipping everywhere look awesome. So I guess i wouldn't mind both.

actually, Vader plays more like a cross between Siegfried and Mitsurugi in that his moves are powerful but he isn't overly fast as say Taki. Instead, he is about as fast as Mitsurugi, which if you're familiar with the character can be a little stiff if you're not comfortable with him.

Yoda may be faster, but he is cheap. You can't deny that. They tried to add balance to Yoda by making his moves more aerial based--in that he jumps alot. This, theoretically makes it easier to attack him with middle and high attacks. However, he is faster than Taki so it's kinda pointless. More importantly, not every character has a fair advantage against Yoda, such as those with poor low attacks--Cassandra, Talim, etc.

So no, Yoda doesn't have better moves. More flashy, yes, but better, no.

Actually, my response was a two part answer to Mart's assertion. There is no correlation between the two. Therefore no analogy can be made.

1) The first comment with Vader rebukes the idea that slow = bad. I was merely pointing out that Vader is a cross between two specific characters. One powerful the other, while slow and stiff compared to male characters like Raphael, is still quite maneuverable. Although slower than Yoda, it does not equal a bad character.

2) The comment with Yoda has nothing to do with his power compared to Vader or his speed. Instead, me calling him cheap is directed specifically at the "better moves" comment. That is why I mentioned his unbalanced aerial based attacks and near perfect defense against characters with weak low attacks. Then I end with, "flashier =/= better" to point out that, just because he has "cool" moves doesn't mean he is better.

Your assumption about my comment, and for some odd reason my ability on the Verbal section of the SAT(760 of the old test, with a 5 on the written part), is simply the inability on your part to recognize two specific and complete yet independent thoughts.

Yeah, I haven't played the game yet but if Yoda is the fast one and Vader is the slow one, Vader is more than likely stronger than Yoda, Yoda can attack more times but each one of Vader's attacks do more damage, It balances out.

As for the characters, Vader is not "slow and lumbering." Vader plays more like a cross between Mitsurugi and Siegfried. The power of Siegfried with the mobility of Mitsurugi. Last time I played the game, which was about 20 minutes ago, Mitsurugi is a great character and one of the more balanced of the roster.

What is fact is this. 1up also said the PS3 version has a "technical edge" with regards to load times. Something that has factual proof.

Yet the bastion of journalism that is 1up decides to SPECULATES that its a moot point based off their OPINION that the upcoming 360 update that allows games to install on the HDD will make it even. Good Job!

Fanboyism aside, the real issue is Namco possibly charging for these characters that, more than likely are already on the disc. I personally wouldn't download Yoda, not even if he came as part of a "Star Wars Character pack." Sadly, companies do this because, despite the righteous indignation of a few gamers, the majority will support it. The various airplane skins and new jets for Ace Combat being dled is evidence of people's lack of sense.
