Midway expects record sales for new Mortal Kombat

Speaking to MCV, Midway's European marketing director Leonie Manshanden has revealed that the publisher is expecting very big things from upcoming Xbox 360 and PS3 beat 'em up, Mortal Kombat vs DS Universe.

"We have very high sales expectations for MK vs DC. I can't tell you the exact number, but historically if you look at the franchise, every new MK on a new platform has done best. It's always enjoyed that upward trend. With this instalment we really think we're going to set another record."

Sigh...I could turn that statement into a fact based upon past sales of their "new" MKs...but I feel bad for Midway.
